The property next to this hotel use to be a motel now it appears to be a possible homeless camp. They walk through the parking lot of the Hampton hotel checking car doors and I didn’t see any onsite outside security stoping this. Our room had no hot water, when the staff was informed they told us to run the water for a long time and turn the handle up and down this way and that way but nothing worked. The shower had mold. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Our room was only serviced once on a 5 night stay even though servicing is supposed to be every other day. I had stayed at this property before and everything was acceptable but it has turned for the worse. Will not be staying here in future visits.

It was easy access to the freeway, in a quite neighborhood and hotel was clean. However, the 3 times I went to eat breakfast the tables were not clean and we always had to ask staff to clean them. If it was not for the tables I would give them a 5 star.

we were assigned an accessible room, the shower door would not slide and when i pushed it open it completely fell off. very dangerous. the parking lot had signs of cars getting broken into with lots of Glass in many of the spots. you would think they would at lease sweep it up security guard seemed to be sleeping in lobby area.

Absolute joke. Paid so much money for what was supposed to be a great stay and it ended up being the worst experience ever. So much for luxury/deluxe rooms. Staff was super unhelpful and did not give quality hospitality.

Overall, our stay was great! Rooms and hotel look like they have had a recent remodel. Beds were super comfortable, and the room was clean and had enough space to accommodate 4 people. When I arrived for check-in there was no one at the front desk so I waited a couple minutes before knocking on the door. The lady that came out apologized and said that she was on her lunch break and the other person at the front desk was away taking care of something else in the hotel. Throughout my stay I rarely saw anyone behind the front desk. For a hotel this large on a holiday weekend it was surprising that no one was stationed at the front desk for the majority of my stay. Only cold water in our shower no matter how long we let the water run it never got warm let alone hot. The garbage cans in the front entrance and near the elevators were filled and overflowing with trash everyday. The employees and staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

I called ahead on Friday 7/28 and requested housekeeping for my entire stay 7/30 to 8/2. I confirmed that my request was documented when I checked in on 7/30. However, no housekeeping was realized. Checking with the front desk no one could explain what happened. This is the 2nd time I have run into this problem at this location. It was the same on a previous trip to Salinas. I am a Hilton Honors member but will take my business to Holiday Inn and Suites for my future stays in Salinas.

The desk clerk insisted I couldn't park along the white curb on either side, not impeding any traffic or loading/unloading zone. the front lot and side lot was completely full. The back was dark and appeared unsafe. They even had a large red sign at the desk that read: ATTENTION, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS. PLEASE SECURE OR REMOVE VALUABLES FROM VEHICLE. I asked if there were a problem and she said just a few times. She called my cell phone at 11:30 PM to tell me to move my vehicle, which I did. The next morning I woke up to see the curb full of parked vehicles, two one each side. Wouldn't recommend property.

The entire time we were there, our door keys never worked. Poor guy behind the counter multiple times per day had to leave the front desk and escort us to our room. One time, we had to wait to gain access to our room for like 20 minutes as he (only guy working) had to work with people in line checking in. Also, the phones in the room didn't work, and the TV also had issues.
