Ok hotel, Breakfast was good. Rooms were ok but not very modern. Close to a very nice street and close to Gateway of India. Very friendly staff. Would for sure stay here again in the future.

I will start this by saying this hotel is amazing and I think anyone visiting Mumbai should stay here. I’m a backpacker from USA & took me a while to find a good hotel in Mumbai, since it was my first time visiting this amazing city. Every hotel had bad reviews or highly expensive. So I decided to pick this one and hired a taxi service, (which you could do on this website.) The hotel is a drive down south from the airport in Colaba. The location is perfect. It’s down the street from the famous Taj Mahal hotel so how could it get any better. A short walk from all the touristy spots. It’s perfect. The hotel felt very safe. There’s security that watches over you and the rooms are on the second floor. There’s a front desk and everyone there is kind and helpful. The room is very clean, no bugs, no dust, good ac, little candies and a perfect shower. Perfect pressure, perfect hot water. They have tea, coffee and unlimited water bottles. The breakfast is the best part. Don’t skip out on it! They have a lot of options from Indian to western & everything is made with care and love. The breakfast might be the best part :) idk who the chef is but he/she did a wonderful job. Okay, so no more searching and stressing! Book this hotel, it’s a winner!

I don’t have any complaints on the hotel. Everything’s nice and clean. I just felt like it was not a four-star hotel- maybe three.

This hotel has BED BUGS , the hotel staff frankly Gaslighted me and my friend for 2 hours before doing anything about it, completely in denial.. It was clear from that the black droppings and even the BEDBUG shell casings that is what obvious. Yet I spent a whole day dealing with this issue. They "claimed" that the whole room had been treated, yet none of my clothes or the inside of any my luggages pieces were treated. I WASTED a day of my vacation dealing this with terrible situation. Don't stay here unless you want the GM and senior staff to GASlight you. I have also tried to contact the technical owner of the hotel -Sanjay Narang and the CEO of the Mars group that manages the hotelier group - Poul Weihrauch. However no direct response from either. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL

I stayed at the Gordon House as part of an Overseas Adventure Travel tour. The hotel is very well located near the India Gate and good restaurants. I was originally given a room on the 4th floor, but the bed was so hard that I asked to switch rooms the next day. I was given a room on the 2nd floor, which unbeknownst to me is right above a very loud disco. I tried ear plugs and a white noise app on my phone, but I could still hear the loud thumping of the bass loud and clear. Around 11 pm I asked the front desk when the music would stop and was told 1 am. Unfortunately the hotel was full so I couldn't move to another room. Needless to say, I got very little sleep and needed to get up early for touring the next day. Fortunately the next day, I was departing at 10 pm for the airport, so I didn't need to spend another night trying to sleep in this hotel. Because of the location of the rooms above the disco, I can't recommend this hotel. Rooms on the 4th floor are quieter, but this is the "Scandinavian" floor and typical of Scandinavian platform beds, they are rock hard, but at least they are reasonably quiet.

J’ai découvert un dépassement de Visa quand je suis allé à l’aéroport (apparemment les mois de 31 jours peuvent poser problème. J’ai pu être hébergé par c’est hôtel qui m’a beaucoup aidé dans mes difficultés. Je tiens à remercier le service de l’hôtel qui a été très coopératif et la chambre que j’avais était parfaitement confortable et agréable. Merci encore

In the heart of colaba, close to Gateway. So if this is the part of Bombay you want to see, then Gordon House is a great place to stay

The room was booked for 3 of us ladies travelling together. Upon checking in at 7pm, there were only 2 beds. We advised reception we would go and have dinner and they could set up the 3rd bed whilst we were out. We returned at 10pm to find nothing had been done. It took quite a bit of insisting for our 3rd bed with reception staff who were in a quandary as it appeared there was another guest who had checked in late and must have also needed an extra bed in their room. We paid a high price of over AUD300 for 1 night at The Gordon House Hotel. I would strongly advise looking at another good hotel around the corner called Sun City which was extremely welcoming with great staff at a fraction of the price. I stayed at this hotel as a woman on my own for 2 nights and felt very safe and looked after.

The stay was a disaster. We booked for three people and requested 3 beds. On check-in after being told there was 3 beds, there were only 2 single beds. We went to reception and additional towels where bought in and we were told a bed would be bought in soon. We left for dinner, came back at 10pm, still no bed. When we went to reception we were told to leave the reception area and escorted back to our room where we were told another bed would be bought in soon. 1/2 hour later, still no bed and again not allowed in reception. We were advised that they did not want another guest to see the bed and we had to wait for them to move before we could get the bed they had had over 8 hours to set up! After all that, the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, a paper thin mattress on a wooden base with no padding in the middle where it folded up. Complete waste of money. There are nicer hotels in the area where they actually care about your comfort and make you feel like a valued guest.
