Took a chance on staying here as we usually lobbed across the road, but we were very happily surprised with the standard of accommodation and level of service. The first room we were allocated had a faulty TV unit, but when we advised the Manager, he immediately came to our room and helped us move to the adjacent room where all was good/working. Very friendly/pleasant attitude with the Manager and staff, and I even managed to get a few coldies into me at the bar, after a long day on the road (from Cairns). I would highly recommend this Motel as a potential alternative to others in town, as nothing is too much trouble for the staff to attend to. Very enjoyable visit.

Pre booked a family room for three adults for overnight stop. At $175 for the night, we were very disappointed with the facilities. The bar fridge was on a tilt with a full tray of water under the freezer, no cutlery for cereal (only few packets with wooden knife and fork), three mugs (one was cracked so hot coffee spilt over bench, luckily not on one of us), lighting behind the queen bed was almost non existent, fluro in 2nd bedroom took ages to get started, one broken shelf had been left at the bottom of bedroom cupboard and bathroom cupboard must have leaked at some time as there were several old stained paper packets on the bottom shelf General maintenance was sadly lacking. The owner wasn’t overly friendly or obliging when we asked about the room lighting and for another cup and spoons. Our saving grace was Tandara Hotel/Motel straight across the road. They served a fabulous meal and their staff were super friendly. We’re sorry we didn’t book in there to stay. Perfect place to overnight on a longer journey. Very clean, quiet, great staff and close to supermarkets and so on. It is basic but that is all you need. Recommended.

Air conditioner didn't work properly. Bed uncomfortable. Ashtray full of butts outside room.

Travelling through Sarina on my way to Mackay, I stopped in Sarina looking for somewhere to go for lunch. I strolled passed the Hideaway Café. I went in and was immediately acknowledges and welcomed in. It was a family owned restaurant and I was served by the owner and her daughter. I had the best steak sandwich I can recall. The service was great and the meal even better. Reasonably priced and very filling. I believe the restaurant is Sarina's best kept secret. I will make sure on my return trip home that I call in their again and try something else on the menu to see if it as good as their steak burgers. The service from both the mum and daughter just added to the whole experience.

We spent 1 night at Sarina Motor Inn en route to far north Queensland. The Sarina Motor Inn is looking a bit tired but the air conditioner worked, the bed was very comfy, towels were clean and the shower was fabulous!

Overall, satisfactory for an overnight stay that included an onsite restaurant.

The convenience, price and location was good. It was clean and comfortable. Dated with a broken sofa and ineffective aircon placed in an odd position. We would stay again for value.

This property was completely substandard fir the price charged. The bed, terrible, pillows, terrible and the cupboard in which the pillows were stored was coming to pieces. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone
