This was a beautiful and very comfortable Inn. The colors and energy were beautiful. The room was gorgeous, comfortable and absolutely perfect for the weekend. The breakfast was fresh with a nice variety. Our Innkeeper, Jeanine and her assistant, Helen, were just lovely and we wanted for nothing while we stayed with them. Excellent host and great recommendations. Thank you for a perfect weekend;

Jeneane is unbelieve! great lady. the rooms were spotless, quiet, nice soft jazz playing in the hallways and living rooms. It was my first time on the island for a wedding. After a long day of traveling I felt right at home! Love the authentic feel of the rooms at of the whole hotel. The old historic floor is my favorite. Its like being thrown back in time with still having modern amenities. A nice cozy on a cobblestone street; a stones throw from the ferry and the central historic downtown. The owner lives on site. you just don't see that effort from any big chain inns or even other inns on the island anymore. When I return for work to the island its a no brainer where I will be staying.

Quiet, big room all to ourselves. We came just before the season really kicked off, so the vibe of the room was mirrored throughout the island.

What a fun spot. An easy walk to everything in town, friendly staff and clean everything. Breakfast was plenty for my family and we felt welcome the entire trip.

We loved our stay at the Carlisle House Inn! Our family of four (including our two kids 10 and 8) spent two nights at the Carlisle House. Jeneane, the inn keeper, was so welcoming and made sure all of our needs were met (including providing buckets/shovels for the kids and extra beach towels). The room (Nantucket Suite) had more than enough room for all four of us, was super clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Another highlight was the breakfast spread which we all enjoyed. The location was perfect- right downtown and walking distance to all the local shops and restaurants. We highly recommend and would definitely go back to the Carlisle House the next time we visit Nantucket!

Beautiful historical home close to center of town. Walk to dinner, shopping and bike rental. Wonderful breakfast! Peaceful and well appointed inn. Great bath products. Highly recommend. Very relaxing even in the hustle of summer in Nantucket!

My wife and I had a wonderful Nantucket stay here at the Carlisle House Inn. They have a beautifully decorated and arranged property that made it feel nice and cozy throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed their outdoor seating areas - with beautiful hydrangeas and landscape galore that provide refreshing aromas. My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine while sitting fireside on a crisp evening. Their breakfast area offered a number of fresh fruits, yummy baked goods, yogurts, cereal, coffee, juice and more! And while there were other guests here during our stay, the layout of the inn made it feel like we practically had the place to ourselves. Lastly, we have been EXTREMELY IMPRESSED by the level of cleanliness here. You can tell that the staff really takes pride in maintaining the property throughout the entire day. As an example, within 30 mins on my last morning here, I personally witnessed the staff wiping each of the tables in the breakfast area and double checking for anything being out of place multiple times. I wish I could give this Inn 10 stars! We will definitely look to come back. P.S. the location is very convenient to get to/from.

I stayed at the Carlisle House Inn last winter and has an amazing stay. As we were there in the off season and they were doing some updates we were one of two rooms taken during our stay. They upgraded us to a suite which had a separate entrance and was like a cozy cottage in itself! The owner and her son were very nice and helpful. The decor made me feel immersed in Nantucket. We were an easy walk to downtown and the beach. One day I took a stroll to Brandt’s Point and Children’s Beach. The breakfast - of my goodness! I was amazed at the spread of food, even with so few people. The fruit was beyond fresh - best fruit I had in years AND in the middle of winter 30 miles off the mainland! I can’t wait to return to Nantucket and will look forward to the Carlisle House Inn being my home base.

We had a wonderful stay here. Kalman and Helen were just terrific! They both took great care of us. The inn was immaculate and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very quiet. Would definitely come back.
