納爾遜威望酒店(Prestige Inn Nelson)

Great renovated hotel in Nelson BC. Very clean lovely new large screen TV. The staff was wonderful. Went over the top to assist us. Price was reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the area. Great views of mountains everywhere

Pretty old building but they offer a good service with 24 hour coffee ready on lobby which was good to me. Great locations to reach out downtown and a walk along the pedestrian road

******* did not make it clear that by booking a cheaper room, we would be sent to a different location. There were little to no amenities at this other location and we were told to walk to the other hotel (10-ish min walk) if we wanted to use theirs. It was not the best surprise for our anniversary getaway. The train whistle blasts at 2 am both nights were also not a welcome surprise. Also, you can't fit two people in the bathroom at the same time so good luck getting ready together. There was one extension cord between the beds that we had to fuddle with for our medical device and I blew a breaker trying to dry my hair outside of the bathroom (because good luck getting ready together in the itty bitty bathroom!). We were told we were "upgraded" and moved to the third floor from the first. But there was nothing upgradable aside from an extra bed we didn't need. The other floors had balconies... we ended up with a tiny window obscured by a window-mounted air conditioner. Zero out of 5 stars, would not recommend it. Very disappointing accommodations. Nelson was fabulous. We will return but will not be staying at Prestige.

Everything was wonderful, we really enjoyed the place. Stayed two nights. Even though it was next to a train track we never heard a train apparently they only come twice a day. The only problem we had was that there was no corkscrew at the front desk. We had to drive to the other location a few minutes down the road to get a corkscrew to open the bottle of wine we bought. They were very good about it though and gave us a bag of cheese for our trouble.

The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk fro the downtown core of Nelson. No pool here but sister resort on the lake does have one and is within east reach. Nelson is small enough that a cab ride is an economical option. There is also a really nice park that can be reached by a quaint streetcar service that runs a regular service by donation. Great economical option to staying downtown.

I liked that we could sit on the balcony and look out at the lake. Very easy to find. Train was not a problem. The train came by at 5 pm, so it was not an issue. We found the AC was not the best but then it could of been me the operator. Definitely we would stay there again.

Booked this for spur of moment getaway, booked as had a pool for the little one. Paid premium price thinking i would get a more premium room. Pool and restaurant were located in another hotel 5 minute drive away, room had trim missing from around doors, cieling badly stained, tiles in bath grout was molding and hair in bathroom sink. On top of that train blowing horn at 4am next to hotel. This was not worth the premium price, i have stayed at hotels for half the price that were way nicer and comfortable. Very disappointed.
