This is a good hotel and offers great rates as well considering the location. Great customer service.

We were staying there in Feb 2024 for 4 days. I'm a classically trained pianist, I need to practice for the exams and concerts I’m accompanying. I chose the hotel because they a have piano on their site. I travel a lot and normally I don’t have any problems practicing the hotels pianos during quiet hours for an hour or so. In this hotel they didn’t let me touch their piano without giving any valid explanation: “We will not be able to grant access to use the piano in our Magic room”. “The event team have informed me that you cannot use the piano in the Magic room” The piano room in the hotel most of the time was empty. I checked the room several times after going to the gym at 10 am and later in afternoon at 3ish pm. There were no one there… I am still in correspondence with an assistant manager, it was such a bad experience. He ignores my emails because we checked out. This hotel is top class for rejecting their guest’s needs. They simply don't care about you.

Awful- while the rooms are done well by Soho House Groupe, the lifts are old and loud, the member rooms are against an elevator shaft that bangs all night, the staff don't seem to care. Two of us checking out had similar stories and the manager was like "tough, I can upgrade you for $300" The NYC Department of Elevator Inspection should shut the lifts down. The staff needs to learn customer service.

Location is great. Interior of the rooms is amazing - hasn't changed in years and that why I love it. Problem is that one of the restaurants that used to be there (good one on top of it) is turned into a club. If you are unlucky one on second floor you will hear and feel it. Hotel restaurants (food) is at the best mediocre for the price. Across the street is pizza place that is much better. Cocktails at Little Ned are good, but stay away from food, especially overpriced lobster roll that is like something you would get at the cheep diner. Room service is great.

Best 5 start hotel option in the city at the moment. The NED is a blend of Coolness mixed with old school luxury. It is also new and the place to be at the moment . Cecconi's down stairs is classy and cozy. Staff at the hotel is accomadating, welcoming and responsive. Very cool crowd at the hotel. Excellent location Rooms are luxurous, well appointed and comfortable, with every toiletry imaginable.

The Ned NoMad exceeded my expectations from check in to check out. The Soho design team has done an incredible job on the refurb and the service is top notch. We got a great deal which included a $200 voucher, free bottle of wine and upgrade to a medium room so it was also great value. Was very impressed by the live music and the fact that the rooms were much more soundproofed than other places I've stayed in New York. The only thing that was a bit off is that there wasn't a coffee make in the room (not a big issue with so many coffee houses in the neighbourhood)

I visited The Ned for a friends overnight “staycation” to celebrate my birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased with my stay. The staff at TheNed provided outstanding/ world class hospitality and far exceeded many of my five star and premium hotel experiences. Every staff member I came into contact with was exceptional and super friendly. Melissa A (Guest Relations Manager) provided a personalized and detailed oriented experience during my stay. She checked in with me to make sure things were going well, sent a personalized note to wish me a Happy Birthday and carefully explained all the facilities on site. She was patient, professional and explained all the wonderful experiences from the live music, Little Ned (cocktail bar) and rooftop as we were very interested in on-site activities. We stayed in the Family Atrium room which comes with two queen beds, nice size closet and a spacious bathroom. The room and bathroom has everything you potentially need during a hotel stay including: premium/full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body exfoliator, hand wash and lotion. They also provided robes, slippers, coffee machine ( pretty coffee cups) dental kit, mouth wash, q-tips, cotton pads, small facial product vanity kit… and so much more I am forgetting at the moment! We had one very minor issue in our room that the staff IMMEDIATELY responded to and took care of. I felt well taken care of here which is something I appreciate as someone that has traveled and stayed places where guest comfort wasn’t a priority. I’d also like to mention the beds are incredibly comfortable and soft with several cloud like pillows and the hallways are sultry with a very romantic vibe. I’d like to thank Tom from guest services for helping me find a couple of items I forgot and again, immediately responded with a smile just before checking out of my room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC and want a cozy yet upscale experience in the heart of NYC! Also a great place to just relax if you’re a local:-)

I will start with the pillows. My boyfriend and I both have terrible neck pain. The pillows are full cotton fill, no feathers, they’re HORRIBLE! The shower water pressure is non existent, you can barely get the conditioner out of your hair. The room layout is awful. You have to open the shades to see anything because the lighting isn’t good but make sure you’re covered up because there is construction workers on scaffolding outside the window. You need to be a member to get into the club unless you are a hotel guest. Well, I actually had to upgrade my room in order to be able to use it. My girlfriend came to have a drink with us and they refused to let her in with us. We were only allowed the two of us. I asked if they could make an exception and it was a hard no. She’s a beautiful tall model and the place was dead. When you stay at the Ritz, the Mark, Mercer, Crosby, Carlye they have a way of making each guest feel special. This is not what you feel at the Ned. You feel almost belittled. Every time you walk into the club you’re questioned as if you’re somebody off the street. We have been here for 3 days, we’re staying at the hotel, you would think someone would remember us. The doormen are wonderful. Love them all. Ashley, the food and beverage manager is wonderful. She gets it. She understands what it means to make each guest feel individually important. She came from the Mark hotel and that is how I feel when I stay there by the entire staff. If this hotel wants to be a contender they need to make some serious changes. This is NYC, the new Ritz is right around the corner and it’s incredible. I’ve stayed in over 50 hotels in NYC and never wrote a review, I felt I needed to this time.
