布魯克林RL酒店(Hotel RL Brooklyn)

On the afternoon we were to checkin they cancelled our reservation. Found out when our plane landed. Travel agent said they must of over booked. Would recommend to anyone to avoid this hotel. They should of given at least a days not so that we could rebook somewhere else!

I booked this hotel for two nights in mid-June at the end of April. Upon arrival late in the evening, I was greeted by a security guard who told me that the hotel had been turned into a shelter for the homeless three weeks before. Never received information from the hotel about this - all they could be bothered to do was put up a notice next to the entrance that the hotel was "closed due to unforeseen circumstances". The security guard told me that all bookings had been carried over to a nearby Holiday Inn Express. Upon arrival there, the receptionist was only rolling her eyes and told me that this was not the case and the security guards were simply making stuff up to get rid off angry customers. The HIX had no availability so I spent an hour (and a fortune for overseas calls) on the phone to contact ********** where I had made the booking. They were able to assist and found me a hotel room in Lower Manhattan which they reserved and paid for. Had to trek from Brooklyn to Manhattan around midnight, though, which is nothing for the faint-hearted particularly at the Brooklyn end (when I asked at the HIX about alternative local hotels, the girl just shrugged and said there were non - only shelters in the area....) While hotels are keen to cut out the middle-men like *******/**********, this case showed that it can pay off to not book directly with a hotel. ********** did all they could to assist me and where genuinely concerned to find a solution. Should this place ever open again as a hotel, I strongly recommend not to book directly with them as they absolutely do not care about their customers.

Location GREAT Service- even better! I had Erika at check in- she's vivacious and a multi tasker...and took care of us quickly. I must say the breakfast is excellent! Chef Issac really cares about his area- everything was sparking clean,always full each item, and so much flavor in his dishes! Carlos was the cleaner and he REALLY took pride in the whole check in area and shiny windows! He was so polite- excellent team member! The only negative is my partner is 6'4 So next time I'd need a larger room But that was my error in booking. Thanks to all of you and to treating us so kindly- we will be back!

NO STARS. this place is closed and is now a shelter. No notice to travelers, Do not book a room here!!!!!! Reservations were not made at another hotel. Not sure why this hotel is still listed when it is closed. DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Je ne pourrais noter l’hôtel en revanche nous sommes arrivés en fin de journée après 13h de vol avec un écriteau sur la porte indiquant que l’hôtel était fermé depuis le 22/05. Aucune explication et aucune solution de repli. Réservation confirmée et payée ! Honteux! Aucun mail n’a été envoyé pour prévenir!!! Va trouver un hôtel en dernière minute, très cher du coup! Et avancer de nouveau en début de voyage. Une honte réellement a fuir. De plus de quartier était affreux !

L’établissement n’est pas dans le meilleur quartier de Brooklyn (très local, populaire & glauque mais ça va). Après il faut savoir aussi que c’est un vieux truc où ils ont refait certaines parties pour les photis (réception, robinetterie, TV, …) mais ont laissé les vieux couloirs sombres d’époque. Ici on s’adresse exclusivement à une clientèle jeune fêtarde car il y a de la musique le soir jusqu’à très tard venant du bar en dessous (par moment on sent même les vibrations) Insonorisation inexistante (claquage de portes, toilettes voisines, chaque pas de la chambre au-dessus …) Pas de coffre fort dans les chambres non plus !!! En gros c’est le minimum syndicale, tout juste un 3 étoiles de base. Attention: certaines chambres donnent pile sur le passage du métro aérien, et donc si on a le sommeil léger … bonne chance dès très tôt le matin. On le trouve souvent à un bon prix, donc après, à chacun de connaître ses priorités. Les logements à Brooklyn sont en moyenne 30% moins cher et en 6-8 stations de métro ouvert 24/24-7/7 (8-10 km) on est à Manhattan. 50-60 dollars de JFK ou LGA et 30-40 dollars de Manhattan en Uber/Lyft. 我在布魯克林最喜歡的酒店之一，從深夜酒吧/休息室和前台開始，非常棒，而且樂於助人。我認為她的名字是 Jada wow，真是一個了不起的人，非常樂於助人，她絕對需要成為經理。
