布里爾斯酒店(The Briers)

Lovely place with the friendliest people. I drove up from from Limerick to meet old friends from America on a golf tour. I couldn’t pay Slieve Donald price for the night but I was minutes away at The Briers. Very peaceful. Great people running this place.

It was all we could have wished for and our hosts were so friendly and helpful, beautiful surroundings and we felt at ease and relaxed 😌 Sat in the garden after a delicious breakfast and soaked up the atmosphere ☀️ and bird song. Definitely going back again….

This is a beautiful guest house not far from Newcastle centre but in a rural setting. The people were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a beautiful cooked breakfast and would certainly stay again.

Lovely hotel with great hosts. Anne was very attentive and helped find us a welcoming restaurant for our first evening meal in Newcastle which was a short drive away. Rooms were a bit tired but the hosts, who have only been there for a month, have great plans to make changes so we’d have no hesitation in going back. Very large garden and good parking space. A cooked Ulster breakfast was one of the best we’ve had with a good range of fruit, cereals and yogurt. Special attention was given to our requirements for a gluten free breakfast. We had nice views of the Mountains of Mourne (when it wasn’t cloudy) as the location is perfect to get to the coast and inland. We were visiting a relative in Newry and could get there in 30 minutes but preferred the coastal route or across the mountains. All in all a great base for a holiday in a very scenic area of Northern Ireland. Thank you for making our visit memorable.

What can I say. The Briers was brilliant. When we arrived and checked in we got upgraded, which was very much appreciated thank you Dianne. The room was lovely with good views. My wife and I had a lovely stay. Thank you very much Dianne and Darryl.

A really lovely , welcoming place to stay . The hosts , Daryl and Diane were so friendly and helpful - even made me a lovely packed lunch for my hike in the Mournes the following day . Very safe and clean. A really lovely place to stay .

Our stay was lovely. There was a beautiful garden to enjoy the sun. The staff were very friendly and this morning we had a really nice breakfast. We will definitely return.
