Be careful when booking of you need to cancel .. they take your money straight away but if the currency rate changes you will be out of pocket even though they state no cancellation fee Be aware when booking

We had a great time staying at Avana Waterfront Apts & would recommend it for sure. We spent a week on the west coast when we first arrived then a week at Aitutaki & then here for our last week. Muri lagoon is a beautiful place to swim, snorkel & if you are lucky like we were, swim with a feeding turtle. We hired a car to get around or you can catch a bus from the end of the road, or walk the 1.3km into the restaurant cafe area in Muri. The studio units are spacious & well appointed with everything you need. I’d definitely stay here again.

Lovely pool, clean and tidy. Desiree is very helpful.A great understanding lady. Any problems, see her. The studios are very clean, tidy and have electric ceiling fans, heat pumps and gauzed sliding widows.. Apartments are literally 10 to 15 meters away from the beautiful lagoon. Would definitely stay there again. One word of advice. Anyone taking a DSLR Camera to Rarotonga take a CPL Lens filter. Just to take the ripple effect off the water when windy.

Studio unit was fully equipped with all cooking utilities needed, towels and toiletries also provided, bed was comfortable and room was a great size. Staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions. Wifi was only avaliable in the pool area. They have life jackets, snorkles, flippers and kayaks you are able to use, and every unit has an outdoor shower to rinse off under. Lovely place to stay.

This was our second stay at Avana Beachfront Apartments with manager Desiree and friendly staff. The studio has all the amenities , and a wonderful view of the lagoon from the deck. It’s close enough to Muri restaurants, stores and the night market to make it easy for dining options and breakfast coffee. Had a lovely time paddling in the kayaks and swimming in the pool when the weather was windy. Friendly, helpful staff who do their best to make sure you get a wonderful holiday. We loved our 2 weeks here and look forward to returning .

We had an upstairs room that was large & comfortable with a balcony ,bed was good plenty of chairs ,the view from the deck was good although impaired by trees which could do with a bit of thinning out , beach & pool were good & closeby. plenty of choice with kayaks single & double with great paddling to the nearby Island & round the lagoon although launching was hard at low tide on the stones . Allthough advertised with air conditioning we found on arival it was an extra cost per day because of expensive power.however we had an enjoyable time at this location.
