The Centrum well located, near major pedestrian walkway Ledra Street. Lots of shops, few restaurants. Easy access to Border crossing to Turkish North Cyprus at end of street.
Nice lobby w/ bar area & many sofas. Breakfast area required circuitous route through intriguing museum of old artifacts. Good breakfast, attentive staff.
Room small, compared to Arab hotels. Huge bed filled room, making it difficult to move around. There was a balcony area, never used by me and a small extra room for luggage, but nothing else in it. Might have been a sitting area with chairs and such, but only a luggage rack.
TV was terrible. No English stations for news. Even BBC was in Greek. There were a few stations with American films in orig. language and Greek subtitles, but no CNN, as all other hotels had. Ridiculous.
Bathroom very small. Equipped and such, but shower was tiny, and you really had to maneuver through room to get to small bathroom.
Final note. 2 of 3 clerks, Angela and Pericles were great. Chris, morning guy was surly. Others were helpful with directions and suggestions, he not so. What pissed me off was I expected a taxi to take me and my large bag, heavy carry-on and satchel to the bus station. I'd taken a cab when I arrived on bus from Paphos, where I flew in. I subsequently saw it was not a long walk, but with bags difficult. Chris mocked me and balked at calling a cab. I yelled and he did so, but couldn't confirm. Angry, I stormed off with bags, w/difficulty to station.
