Once arrived i was told my told my room wasn't available king size bed corner room and I could upgrade for free since it wasn't available. Once getting to the room it was 2 queen bed and no table to use. I went back downstairs and talk to someone differently witch said my original room was ready! Once getting to my original room i had no towels, rags, ice bucket and room phone didn't work. I went downstairs to tell the front desk and was they are not enough towels and rags for me and my lady to have 2 sets. We had to share the towels until i ask the people staying next door for one!

I can not even put into words how horrible and tiresome this "check in' was. We arrived at 3:25 for a 4: guaranteed check in - which never happened. The lobby filled up with couples needing to get to their rooms to change for various functions. The front desk told us at 3:25 - arrival time - that they would call when room was ready which would be around 4:00 when cleaning would release rooms. Well, long story short we did not get a room until around 5:50 PM. Yes - 5:50 PM!! We sat in the lobby with no communication from anyone, and yes the lobby area filled up with those checking in. I had to check at the desk a few times to be told that they would release rooms when they can. One man got upgraded to a top floor room yet others, like myself, just sat their and waited laying on the sofas and chairs. Not acceptable - not at all. Giving me a $10 drink voucher is supposed to make this 2 hour delay go away. Shame on this hotel and honestly the front desk was nice- but were the heck was management!!!! A two hour delay in checking in - for a hotel price like they charge - then to put in a room that stared at the air conditioning unit?? Seriously. - where is they how can i make this right ?!?!!? Truly no words for how this check in went. Unfortunately, will have to look elsewhere for my next weekend there as just afraid that this might be a common theme with them.

This is our 3rd or 4th time staying here and every time we have had spectacular service, wonderful food and a very enjoyable experience overall! We love this beautiful hotel and our corner room with 2 queens had the most spectacular views of the city! We love this place!

Great location with yummy restaurants and sightseeing within a short walk. Building is clean and staff are friendly and helpful.

A beautiful hotel in historic downtown Norfolk. The design touches throughout the hotel are lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint is that I had the car parked by valet, which was the only way that you can use the EV charger. However, the car wasn't charged, even after I asked the staff to look into it.

The room was noisy and very difficult to sleep in. A lot of light pollution as well. Besides numerous small lights, a smoke detector was constantly flashing bright light illuminating the room throughout the night. Very disappointing experience with this hotel.

Large, well appointed room. Comfortable bed. Large walk in shower. Espresso maker in the room. Free bottled water on each floor. Good restaurant in lobby. Friendly staff.

The design of the Glass Light Hotel is clean and contemporary with glass art as its unifying theme. I loved seeing the artwork throughout the hotel including the lights in our room. The place is conveniently located downtown and has a good energy. The valet service is excellent. The front desk was unattended when we arrived (around 8 pm on a Sunday) so we waited for about 15 minutes to check in. Also, there was a damaged window shade in the room. Although we chose this hotel because we could arrive late and still eat, the kitchen closed earlier than advertised due to a maintenance issue so we had to venture out to find dinner. There was no room service available either.
