日德維恩斯鮑多克小屋酒店(Redwings Lodge Baldock)

I’d read recent reviews of this place before booking, so my expectations weren’t high, but I thought it’d be ok for somewhere to sleep & shower. BUT, I was totally disgusted upon checking in. The corridor & our family room reeked of damp. I had to remove spider corpses and webs from above the bed. Dirty pillowcases turned inside out we’re on the knackered stained bed. Springs poking out of the side of mattress. My daughter and I actually slept on top of the quilt because the bed stank when we peeled back the quilt. Dust particles everywhere. Mould around bath taps and tiles. I had to clean scum and hairs from the basin. The place was bogging! For 2 nights we couldn’t settle to sleep properly. Really regret booking in haste, but didn’t think it would be so bad. I would definitely not recommend this sh*t hole. Pay a few quid extra & go somewhere with decent reviews.

Es un hotel de carretera muy bueno. Había más familias como nosotros y sin embargo fue muy silencioso por las noches. Fueron flexibles con el desayuno el día de salida. Una estancia estupenda en conjunto.

is clearly an old Travelodge that needed refurbishment but was not busy enough to justify the expense and was sold off. while the room was in generally good condition the sofa bed need recovering. While a nice shower head had been fitted the trouble I had getting the shower working was not acceptable. this was clearly a known fault as instructions had been put on the wall on how to get the shower working but the whole mechanism should have been replaced and should be replaced before the room is let again as getting a shower is easer said that done. The free Breakfast I was promised was very poor(Bread & Cereal only and not even the usual extras) and not a lot of space was provided to eat it

Worse hotel ive been in yet, worse nights sleep ive had in a long time. Was given one very thin pillow each and when asked for a another pillow each was told they had none because they were fully booked with families. Bathroom full of mould and toilet didnt flush. Breakfast is served litterally in reveption where there is 2 whole tables of 4 for all the hotel guests to sit an eat at! If your not lucky enough to get a table there are trays for you to take upstairs to your room an eat on the bed with. Staff were friendly and polite cant fault that.

No hot water and very little cold water pressure on morning of visit.

Over all good value for money but the mattress was very thin,you could feel every spring and they even made a twanging noise every time we moved! I think it was meant to be for a z bed

Friendly staff, clean comfortable room - overall, good value for money. And Cotey's restaurant right opposite is a great place to eat. Highly recommended!
