When we first got there, there was an odd smell in the room. I thought that it was 'dated', as this looks to be a fairly old motel. It turns out that it was just the detergent (or Febreeze) that they used on the bedding. Not great, as I don't like those strong smells, but at least everything was clean.
The parking was easy, and every room has its own dedicated spot. This presented a bit of a challenge, as we had two vehicles with us on the first night, but the staff found us a solution.
The location is great if you're there for "touristy" stuff, as the main area for Cavendish (which I consider the "Niagara Falls-like part of PEI") is literally within a 3 minute drive of here. The National Park with the cliffs overlooking the ocean is also down the other road that's directly next to the hotel, and we were there every night for sunsets. The National park is free later in the day.
The other thing that I absolutely must mention is their HOT breakfast in the morning, which is included in the price. It's a buffet-style breakfast (though I think you can only go up once - don't worry, though, you get a lot) with potatoes, eggs, sausages, and bacon. There are also lots of cold options around (fruits and veggies, cereal), juices, bagels and toast...you will definitely leave full.
And the guy that's working the buffet may be the most energetic hotel person I've ever met while traveling.
If we go back to this area again, we'll definitely stay here.
