衞城濱海度假村(Acropolis Oceanfront Resort)

We have been coming to the Acropolis for 15 years or more. First as a couple, then with our children as our family grew. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They treat us like family. It is like coming to a 2nd home for us. We return to the Acropolis every year when we come to Wildwood and will continue to do so for the next 15+ years!

Complete crap hole! From the moment we got there. Looks like they made smaller parking spaces than normal . Could barley open my car door no matter where i parked in their lot. The air conditioner was not working and blowing hot air. According to owner it was just repaired but as i look through their reviews the owner has been telling customers the same story for a while. The rooms look like a child did the repairs. Paint spatter, uneven walls i could go on and on. Only thing going for this place was the pool. I would rather sleep in my car than spend money on this place again.

Ugghhhhh…where to start?! No AC, super smelly, spiderwebs in corners, ripped carpet, dirty balcony (crumbs and other debris not from us), rusty appliances and fixtures, stained furniture, hair and paint on the pull out couch sheet, the list goes on and on. When the smell and heat got to be too much inside, we couldn’t even get relief outside because other guests were smoking **** all night on their balconies. My kids nicknamed this place “The A-crap-olis” - that was the best part of our stay.

This was our fourth stay in three years, and it won't be our last. Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Housekeeping staff was efficient and friendly. There were 2 flatscreen TVs with a plethora of channels. The beds were comfortable with new pillows and comforters. The shower pressure was amazing with plenty of hot water. The pool area is beautiful with a large (olympic-size?) pool and plenty of lounge chairs as well as umbrellaed tables with chairs. Every room has a private, oceanfront balcony with million dollar views! There's nothing better than being able to listen to the ocean while you sleep ;)

We go down the shore A LOT! First time at the Acropolis. Never again. The owners of this property refuse to install fishing lines over the pool/deck/restaurant area so that seagulls don't swoop down into the public spaces. Because of that dozens of seagulls are swimming in the pool, pooping in the pool and all over the light posts, chairs, umbrellas and the tables at the attached restaurant. It's completely unsanitary and a health risk to all guests. If not for this, we would consider a return to the Acropolis. It's a great view, but not worth the health risks of the diseases seagulls carry. This is completely irresponsible of the owners of this property.

this place is disgusting for a water front hotel. Owner and all workers over the age of 25 are MEAN. Do not care at all about your stay whatsoever. trashy is the only word to describe. don’t give them your business!!!!!

Vomit on the rug, bowl movement in the toilet, dirty sheets, no air conditioning, mold, rust and a rude owner named Nik. I booked using *********** but when I arrived to check in I was told that my reservation was decided although the transaction was showing on my credit card of $ 536. I was told if I wanted to stay I would have to pay again and I was checking in at 11pm so I would have to speak with Sophia in the morning. I paid $550 for my room and went to room 202. When I opened the door I instantly knew that I had made a big mistake. The room pictures on the ads looked nothing like the room I was given. The room given to me had vomit on the floor, no air conditioning, mold, a horrible smell, spider webs, rust, dirty sheets, mildew dirty sofa and a door that was off the hinges. I went down stairs immediately and asked for another room and was told there are no more room and I should just stick it out for the night. I demanded another room and was given keys to 602 and 610 to see if they met my standards. When I went to both rooms they were occupied. I literally walked in on other guest! I went back to the front desk and was told by the staff that I could get a refund in the morning if I didn’t want to stay and I was also told that they don’t blame me they wouldn’t stay in the room. I was also advised to go across the street and stay because the rooms are much cleaner. I left and received a call from the owner Nik this morning and he yelled and screamed at me on the phone and told me he wasn’t giving me any of my money back. So now I am out of $550 and & $536 … and I was only in the room for two mins or less. Nik told me that if I reported him he would get his lawyer on me and then he hung up the phone. After he hung up the phone he charged my credit card again for $286 and I wasn’t at the hotel. I notified the police and they are trying to handle the issue and get me a refund. Please don’t stay at the hotel and please read all of the reviews, to see that I am not the only person who has been scammed by the owner. I can’t believe my vacation was destroyed and I am out of $1,372.00. I also can’t believe that *********** allows properties access to credit card numbers so they can charge customers at there leisure. Check out the pics and please stay away from this nasty place.

We have been staying in the Wildwoods for over 30 years staying everywhere from Diamond Beach, Wildwood, the Crest and North Wildwood. The 1st thing we do no matter where we stay is to wipe everything down, sometimes the results can be disgusting, not here even on the inside of the dresser drawers the wipes came out clean. While we are'nt crazy about carpeting ours was extremely clean. Our mattress was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. On our 1st morning we found the microwave was not working, it was replaced with a new one before we got back from breakfast. The maids were excellent and the staff friendly especially Sophia who got us great rates and the perfect room. Last but not least just a fantastic location you feel like your sleeping on the beach. Such a great trip 2 days after getting home we booked another stay for the end of June.
