拉格蘭德別墅(La Grande Villa)

I spent 24 nights at the wonderful La Grande Villa in Nuwara Eliya. During that time, it became like a home to me. In addition to the lovely rooms and the beautiful garden, the staff really went out of their way to make me comfortable. For health reasons, I require a special diet, and once I explained it to them, they were more than willing to accommodate my needs. And while all of the staff were great, the manager Mr. Insar was absolutely wonderful. He helped me with so many practical things, such as arranging my return train ticket to Colombo, as well as advising me about local sights - as well as explaining local customs and thinking to me. He even taught me about the history of Sri Lanka. By the end of my stay there, we had become good friends. I will forever remember the many talks and laughs that we shared. Finally, he is also a very good manager who keeps the whole operation running smoothly.

Situated right in the middle of Nuwara Eliya, La Grand villa is a charming, cozy hotel. The service was excellent - ably led by its Manager Insar. We enjoyed the food as well. There is ample parking, and a lovely garden to rest and relax.

The service of the hotel is extremely personalized and outstanding. The staff is very attentive and effecient. The kitchen is very good as well. Every staff member at the hotel goes an extra yard to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We found this hotel by chance very last minute. We were pleasantly welcomed and taken away by the hotel’s charm and character. The area is known as ‘little England’ and the architecture depicts that of a quaint English village. On arrival we were greeted and waited on to ensure we were comfortable, with the kitchen staff putting on a delicious meal for us. Our room was nothing short of amazing with a large and extremely comfortable four-post bed and huge bathroom. The next morning we were served a beautiful Sri Lankan breakfast, and while our stay was short it was very memorable. We accidentally left a pair of shoes at the hotel and the hotel manager went above and beyond to courier them to Colombo before our departure flight. It was very much appreciated!

We stayed at La Grande Villa during our stay in Nuwara Eliya and absolutely loved it. The hotel is quite small with only a handful of rooms. The rooms are decorated in a very unique way, very cozy and luxurious. The jacuzzi in our bathroom was a welcome treat after days of travelling and hiking. What makes La Grande Villa truly special is the staff working at the hotel and the owner - everyone is so friendly, warm and welcoming! Breakfast is served at the table and was absolutely stunning. The owner suggested we take a lunch packet on our long train ride when we left, which was prepared for us by the kitchen. It was so thoughtful of him to think of this for us. We hope to be back soon!

We stayed here for one night as we did a quick stop tour of Sri Lanka and this was by far my favourite place we stayed! Great rooms, ours had a four-poster bead that was heavenly to sleep in and a bathtub with jets that we made the most out of! The food was amazing and we found the portions to be very generous, and the staff was absolutely lovely! We definitely have to come back and stay longer!

Greeted warmly on a cold Nuwara Eliya night by the staff. Has very cozy rooms. The bed was pretty comfy with loads of soft pillows. The breakfast was wonderful and we felt welcomed during our stay there.

My humble request never ever visit this villa , they show us something in pic and inside is different, and particularly if u are AC user please note there is no AC and room is so small and suffocated and we can’t open door bcos there is too much mosquito even if u come from other cold regions u might need AC atleast
