Best Western Normanton Park Hotel

In the perfect location right on the pathway at the waters edge in sight of the chapel. Beautiful period building with a restaurant with views over the water. Spacious garden. Onsite parking. Eave rooms was nice with delicious biscuits on teatray.

Room smelt musty and the lack of cleaning through the room and bathroom was evident. Cobwebs everywhere, bath areas mouldy and spa bath generated a lot of debris from within the system. The entire place needs a good clean. Food was average and very deep fried!

The hotel is ideally situated by Rutland Waters with many walks available and great garden. The staff were all extremely pleasant, for us Lauren and the receptionist (sorry forgot her name) made our stay special.

We had room 3, forget trying to get any sleep if people are in the bar as you are directly above and can hear every word said and everything else as well. You could see the downstairs lighting through the floorboards We also ate at the hotel. The starter was tiny, tiniest pieces of bread and pate, Rump steak was nothing special although the staff were very pleasant. I complained about the room the following morning and was told to email in about the room, I have sent a follow up email and sadly no one from management has bothered to reply.

Staff are very friendly, polite and always on hand if you need anything. They have a lovely garden and plenty of parking. Breakfast is continental and full English. Will definitely stay again if we are travelling that way again.

The staff were friendly, but the room was very tired. I stayed in one of the adjoining cottages, which was very poor. I could hear next doors noise on both sides of the adjoining rooms, and the room above. The walls are paper thin, I could even hear when they were going to the toilet!!! Add to this the very expensive meals, made my stay disappointing, I wont be staying there again.

The receptionists were excellent, so welcoming and obliging. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We ate in the bar at night, food was reasonably priced, good quality and delicious. I will definitely stay there again, it was perfect for our stay.

Comfortable hotel, in a beautiful setting overlooking Rutland Water. Sorry we only booked one night: next time we'll stay longer to enjoy the local area.

Great friendly service, beautiful location but the rooms are a bit tired and very hot in my case (under the roof). Food is very average at best.
