老白鹿酒店(Old White Hart)

We were here for a 70th birthday party lunch. 40 - 50 people. Lunch was fine. We stayed over in the annex in Robin. Comfortable quirky room. Not huge but adequate. Ensuite fine. Plenty of hot water, etc. Breakfast full English was decent. Well cooked poached eggs and very nice sausage. Plenty of coffee and toast. Staff all friendly and efficient. Would happily return.

Visited today with friends for lunch. Superb menu and not too many choices. Between us we had the Cabrese and Calamari for starters; Halibut, Haddock and Sausages for main course; sticky date pudding and summer pudding for dessert. All absolutely delicious. Quite the best meal I've had at a restaurant for a long time. Lovely bright and airy restaurant, friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommended and we will return very soon.

Beautiful old inn. Rooms were good value for money, clean and comfortable. Restaurant is relaxing, comfortable and had great ambiance. The only slight let down was that whilst the ingredients were good quality the cooking wasn’t great. Steaks need to be charred on the outside. All ours arrived with the fat still white, same with the breakfast bacon. Nevertheless our party had a great time and loved the hotel.

My wife and I had lunch here today, my beer was perfect, we both asked for (slight) changes to the menu which were catered for without any histrionics. Overall a very pleasant meal in a lovely setting.

Not value for money. Drinks very expensive for a pub. Didn’t eat. Very quiet only a few locals outside . Shame as good location with plenty of parking. More staff than customers. Better value venues elsewhere. Hotel just down the road does two courses for £20

Lovely hotel and room. Super quiet and romantic. Loved the blankets for sitting outside & the summer ale was delicious. Only negative was the tea tray. Two tea bags and three little cartons of UHT wasn’t suitable for two people staying in the room. Other than that a lovely stay. Thank you.

It's just a brilliant pub/hotel with tremendous rooms and lovely food. Stayed here a couple of times now and it's been excellent both times. My colleagues were equally impressed, the steaks on the evening were beautiful and the breakfast is fantastic.

My girlfriend best described this property when she said she felt comfortable, warm and safe and that it felt more like being at home than being in a hotel. Beautiful place, nothing not to like, would come back in a heartbeat.

Had a 2 night stay at this lovely village pub. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of cereals then a full English. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was lovely. Service very good. All the staff are super friendly. Rutland is a beautiful area and the Old White Hart is ideally placed for exploring the area.
