The hotel is great, very comfortable, clean and well designed. Its centrally located and has quick access to most attractions in the city. HOWEVER, they had the brilliant idea to hire a musical group that plays marimba from 9am to 11:30am and would not let us sleep. We were a group of about 20 guests visiting for a wedding and therefore would need to be able to rest in the morning. We all had our sleep disrupted by this music. After the first night I complained to the manager bitterly and asked him to please consider their guests capacity to rest. He responded that this music was part of the hotel’s breakfast experience and he would be playing the music. Again it did not allow us to sleep in the morning. We also had a bad experience with room service. For this reason I consider the experience 1/5 because the service is terrible. It is unbelievable to me that a hotel would bot consider the needs of their guests. We were 20 and all had the same complaint. I hope this comment serves to help then reconsider the decisions they make regarding music in the mornings.
Luxurious, stunning views from the rooms overlooking the city, clean, amazing pool and fantastic buffet breakfast! We had a great time. The service was sometimes a little testy at the desk and in the restaurant, but otherwise, really made our trip with the family a great balance of luxury and opportunity to explore downtown (though probably want a taxi to the center--it's only a 15 minute walk, but along a busy road).
I rate this hotel better than average for Mexico and especially Oaxaca city. This is a very comfortable, newer, three star at a very good price point, and my one night stay was during Dias del Muerto. It’s just north of Centro and close to Reforma districts, but only a 20 minute taxi ride to the airport. Rooms were comfortable, secure and included air conditioning. The on site restaurant offers breakfast which I didn’t try.
We booked this hotel as it had a pool and was near to the town of Oaxaca. The rooms were past the gardens, tennis court and pool and our rooms were just across the grass towards the pool, exactly what we wanted without asking for it. The rooms each had two double beds and dark wooden furniture. We had breakfast in the hotel and the choice was fine. The hotel is not far from town and we used to catch a taxi into town and each evening walk back to the hotel from town. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped us arrange a couple of trips. It is what it is, a hotel with a pool near to town and for us it was fine.
I think this place is good for a transit if you want to stay close to the busy area. The staff was very(!) helpful and tried hard to do their best. The hotel looks nice and the rooms are simple but fine. Breakfast is offered in a restaurant 300feet down the road which was very good as well. Biggest downside is the noise that may be heard in some rooms from the near by night clubs but I personally had no issue with it. Biggest problems we had : they only have those old power sockets, not the ones with the third safety pin so our adapter didnt fit, luckily tthe Hotel had one. And the wifi was a bit weird, on and off, an old wifi router. They should really take 20 bucks in the hands and update their wifi... For the money it's ok
