賽西爾通酒店(Thon Hotel Cecil)

Great location, clean, friendly staff and awesome breakfast! Room is spacious too and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Man blir glad av å være på dette hotellet. Fine, sterke farger overalt. Veldig sentralt. Fine, store rom. Utrolig fin frokost. Morsomt med bilheis ned i kjelleren. Tredje gang vi velger dette hotellet, like fornøyde hver gang.

Vårt nye favoritthotell. It's in the details. Veldig hyggelig betjening, rene og fine rom med tregulv. Fikk hver vår flaske vann ved ankomst, klut på badet, to puter, kontakt ved begge senger, minibar/kjøleskap, safe. Veldig gode på frokost, og den varte til 11. Mye varmmat, og stort utvalg av pålegg og tilbehør. Flott beliggenhet og stille og rolig. Vi kommer til å bruke dette hotellet når vi er i oslo heretter.

Fint opphold. Trives godt på Cecil enten det er i forbindelse med jobb eller privat. God nærhet til «alt» i Oslo sentrum. Litt smårusk på renhold, med litt støv, fingermerker og sånt, men ellers fint rom. Hyggelig å få rom tidligere på dagen, selv om jeg egentlig kun trengte bagasjeoppbevaring. Merket litt forskjellig utvalg på frokost på morningen mellom 2 dager. Første dagen var «dårligere» enn siste dagen, men det er vel innenfor. Fint om dere kunne ha informert om lett måltid på kvelden, det fikk jeg ikke med meg før jeg skulle dra. Ellers et fint opphold og jeg kommer gjerne igjen enten i jobb eller privat

Great location, 3 blocks from Nationaltheatret train station, close to both Karl Johan and the waterfront ferry terminals. Room was small but clean. As often the case in these hotels the walk-in shower allows water to escape to the bathroom floor, but an easy mop-up afterward. Mattress was a bit too soft for my comfort as I prefer firm; my spouse thought ok. Splendid breakfast buffet as typical for Thon, but no onsite restaurant or bar if that's important to you. Other guests have complained about funky floor plan, but it's not complicated; there are simply two wings that connect only on the second floor. American guests should be aware that rooms are not air conditioned (AC is not common in any hotel in Norway); our room was stuffy when we arrived in July, but once the air had been circulating for awhile it cooled to a comfortable temperature. Our room window opened to the interior atrium, so outside air was not available, but upside was that there was virtually no exterior street noise. We have also stayed at the Thon Hotel Opera in Oslo, which is a little more upscale and has bar/restaurant, but is also a bit more pricey; it's adjacent to the Central Station. We'd stay at either again, but I favor this one's location for easy walking access to many tourist destinations including Bygdøy via the ferry, if you don't mind dragging your bags a couple of blocks. Tip: skip the airport Flytoget and use the regional trains; half the price and the same travel time.

Service sehr nett, Lage super. Die Zimmer waren recht klein aber sauber und komfortabel. Die Lüftung war aber sehr laut, sodass ich mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen musste und auch die Temperatur konnte ich nicht selbst einstellen.

I have enjoyed staying at many different Thon hotels. If you are a tourist to Oslo the location is excellent. 3 blocks from the train, bus, and tbane. Easy walking distance to the palace, parliament, national cathedral and much more. The hotel I clouded a light evening meal Monday- Thursday along with the traditional breakfast buffets. Rooms are small but too much to enjoy outside to stay in anyway. Very friendly staff
