哈里斯旅館(Harris Guest Accommodation)

The Harris Guest accomodation was the perfect venue for what we were looking for. It was cheap and had good availability plus had easy access into the city with buses running late into the night. Would highly recommend!

The reception forgot to put the keys in the locker and we have waited for a long time until midnight. The shower in the bathroom is not hot. Not a very good experience.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte dort. Unseren "Herbergsvater" haben wir in der ganzen Zeit nicht gesehen. Am Telefon sagte man uns, wo unser Zimmerschlüssel hinterlegt ist. War alles aber kein Problem. Das Zimmer war zwar recht klein, es gab auch keinen richtigen Schrank, aber genug Stauraum unter dem Bett und sauber war es auch. Es gab britisch-klassisch einen Kaffee- und Tee-Zubereiter, Tassen und Gläser im Zimmer. Des weiteren einen TV sowie funktionierendes WLAN. Eine Reinigung oder ein Handtuchwechsel erfolgte die drei Tage nicht. Hinter dem Haus stand uns ein kostenfreier Parkplatz zur Verfügung, was für uns auch ein Hauptgrund war, diese Unterkunft zu buchen.

We stayed there a few weeks ago. It was hassle from the start they need to know your arrival time. So kept ringing me. I told them I'd be there around 5ish still was ringing me on the journey up. It turned out they don't want to actually do there job and be there. So after all that a key was left in a box with code. So we are there for a night out. So we got in no staff anywhere all night. When we got back. We had no power to any sockets so no kettle no tv no hot shower no heating or side lights. Also no one to tell. No refund didn't even say sorry and booking. Com didn't offer anything either. Avoid at all cost

We were very apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews but as we only wanted a room for two nights we thought we would take the chance. The room was basic but clean with a good shower and included tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Nice white fluffy towels too. Downsides were a damp problem which resulted in mould spots on the back wall and rubbish in the front seating area which wasn’t removed during our stay. However, at £135 for two nights it still represented very good value for money especially as parking was included and it was within walking distance of the town with bus stops nearby if half an hour walk is too much. The Co-op a few doors away sold some decent pastries for breakfast but there are also cafes close by for something more substantial. I don’t know what some people expect for the money they pay. Oxford can be expensive and this is a perfectly good budget option. We would stay again.

Abbiamo fatto, all'ultimo minuto, una deviazione per Oxford trovando disponibile questa House. Solo una notte, accolti da una signora, che faceva le pulizie, molto gentile che ci ha consegnato la chiave. Camera piccola ma pulita, posto raggiungibile con pullman di linea ma sicuramente non a piedi...se non vuoi camminare per 35/40minuti per raggiungere il centro di Oxford. Non aspettarti molto. Un consiglio al proprietario: controlla i materassi...il mio stanza 9...non mi ha permesso di dormire...super scassato!!!

The location was ok, being off a bus line. When we wanted to check in, no one answered the door and we had to call someone to let us in. The room was mostly fine, however, it had a weird smell to it. The bathroom was a little gross, and the water pressure was quite poor. I think it's more a reflection of the astonishing economic situation we are in, where it is difficult to find a decent place to stay for less than $100 outside of Oxford (not even downtown). If you care about not spending a lot of money, then I guess this place is fine.

There is no reception at the hotel. Room size was half the size mentioned in reservation document. It was too small for two people! No window. They mentioned in the reservation document that the room has a window with a view. It had a window to a staff laundry room (with frosty plexiglass!) that couldn't be opened!! When I complained to reservation agent, the owner responded that they offered me another room and I had not accepted!!! That was their biggest lie!!!! They mentioned that parking spaces are available, another lie. They have very cramped parking space for 5 cars only and they have 10 rooms! We could not sleep as the room was too hot and someone started banging on door at 6:30 am!!!

The check-in procedure should have been advised earlier before arrival (made a call to get password to get key from key box). Sound proof is bad, talking, walking, flushing, turning on tap from upstairs' guests could be heard clearly. Water leak from shower cube. No hair dryer. Kettle with water from previous guest. Family room is small (different from what's on booking's confirmation or when selecting the room type).
