I have never had an experience like this at a hotel, especially a Marriott property. I was traveling with my husband and 2 children. I knew we would be checking in late, so I called the hotel to notify them. We arrived a bit after midnight, checked in, and went to our room. We put our things down, and I started looking around the room. The sink was full of dirt, hair, etc. I cleaned it up, thinking that perhaps someone had done some work in the room and left a mess at the sink. Then, I noticed that the sheets and pillow cases didn’t look clean. The same dirt and hairs were on the sheets, with the addition of eye makeup on the pillow cases. I went downstairs to inform the person at the desk. He gave me another room. I went to that room to check it before getting my family and going to the room. This room had hair on the sheets and eye makeup on the pillow cases. I went back downstairs, and was put in another room (this was our 3rd room!). This room was okay. The bathroom floor wasn’t very clean, but we made it work. It was nearly 1 am at the point, and I had two kids with me. At no point did the person at the front desk even apologize. In fact, he didn’t even seem surprised. At checkout, I told the two people at the front desk what had happened. They thanked me for letting them know and said they would have the rooms cleaned. 3 rooms, 3 people, and NO ONE even apologized! The person who managed breakfast was the only person who was helpful in any way.
