The name is appropriate! Peaceful, beautiful spot, with direct access to miles of mostly abandoned beach, and a mangrove lagoon on the other side (they have kayaks you can use, and fishermen will like it). Two nice lookouts to enjoy the ocean views. There are warnings about rip currents, so caution is needed in the water. We chose this resort because it is pet friendly, and only charges $5/night for pets. There is a long drive along the ocean on a dirt road to reach the resort. Plenty of potholes, but doable. Bring your own food (we had a well-equipped kitchen area) or plan to eat in their restaurant, as it's a long way to a restaurant. Our room was clean, but not attractive. There was a table outside the room, but no table or chairs in the room. Although the restaurant was supposed to be open every day, when we got there we were informed they were not serving lunch that day. They were nice enough to open for us and the food was decent. Ceviche that night was among the worst I've had. Breakfast was sp****, although there was fruit and orange juice you could help yourself to. If you want a quiet place to get away from the crowd and enjoy looking at the ocean, this is a great place.
