Ich war bereits mehrere Male im The First und kann es nur empfehlen. Es gibt 5 Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluss und die neue Brücke. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfreich obwohl sie kaum englisch sprechen. Aber mittels Übersetzungsapp klappt alles wunderbar. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich und wechselt jeden Tag das Angebot. Die Preise sind günstig! In 5 Minuten zu Fuß ist ein großes Einkaufszentrum mit Ocean Supermarkt. Alle Geschäfte in der Stadt und auch der Markt sind fußläufig erreichbar. Für Katholiken: die schöne Kathedrale ist 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.

We went to that hotel 6 years ago, when it just opened. Quite alright, then. Our latest (and definitely last) visit was an utter disappointment. There were so many mothballs in the cupboard that I could hardly breathe. Only after removing all mothballs and opening the window for hours, it was bearable. Tiny ants in the desk attacked our food. People in the restaurant were unfriendly and obviously biased towards foreigners. While we couldn't get a table on the terrace (no space, they said), there was miraculously space when 4 local guests popped up later. We left the place without eating, but still had to pay for our order. Never again!
