I would not recommend if you’re looking for something mid or up scale. The lodge is nice and the lounge is cozy, but the rooms are quite bleak. I don’t mind dated, I mind when I don’t even want to touch anything. The beds were better than expected. I debated even staying once I walked in bc it was sticky and unclean. On my third night I woke to mice in my medication and snacks. Very unpleasant. I went to the lodge to ask for a different room and she said I’d need to wait until someone else came in. I sat in the lobby waiting, directly in front of her for 30 minutes while she chatted about the weather with a coworker. I had to ask again what the plan was and she then finally mentioned to the guy next to her I might need a diff room. I understand the place is in nature and there are critters, but the indifference of the gal at the front desk was disheartening. The restaurant was unexpectedly good and of course the views are lovely. I would not stay again. The prices they charge for the rooms in no way measure up. I stayed at a best western for $80 on the way here and it was exponentially better then the $200/night I paid for the Otter lodge. Such a disappointment.
