城鎮優選汽車旅館酒店(Top of the Town Hotel Motel)

Possibly the worst motel ive ever stayed at. I had to use the spare bed to hold the curtains closed so that there wasn't a huge, and im talking 100mm or more, gap down either side of the door that people could see in. This was made worse as i was directly opposite the entrance to the motel. The power points were in the most inaccesible positions. The only heating was a $20 fan heater that was so noisy it was impracticable to have it on as it kept you awake. Every time the fridge cycled back on it sounded like someone banging on the door, so much so the first couple of time i actually got up to check. This becane a probkem as each time i checked I'd then have to reset the bed holding the curtains closed. Approximately half the lights simply did not work. The bathroom door did not fully open as it ran into the toilet. The whole decore was so dated it felt like I was back in the 70s or 80s again.

I did not expect much, having booked accommodation on a budget end, but I was pleasantly surprised with this motel. Value for the money is excellent. My room was spacious and had many amenities. It was clean. Free parking right in front of the room. Very convenient base for exploring NW of Tassie. The only difficult part was the noise at night coming from the bar patrons lingering at the entrance after the bar had closed, and screaming for quite some time. A bad sleep wasn't ideal ahead of a 300 km+ drive. Staff were super friendly. I also ate here during my stay. Meals were well-priced, sizeable and from my experience better than most Tasmanian pubs. Even if the kitchen was busy when I was arrived, I waited only 15 minutes for my meal.

The motel is right next to the hotel bistro and is excellent if you want something close,and reasonably priced when you've finished driving.

Think lights out front of rooms need to be turned off after 10 at night, light comes into rooms makes it hard to sleep

Hotel is extremely outdated but the food was great staff were great but hotel not so much haha.

If your looking good for a horizontal surface to sleep on tick and it was ok, quishy bathroom tick and that extends to the shower floor(no idea how) staff were ok, hoons in the pub carpark late at night not so much. Cleaning little bit to be desired as I know none of my har is that long in the bathroom A decent Reno probably be the best idea but I'm tipping it won't be done

It was convenient, bed's not that comfortable but I have a bad back half is fused
