This is one of the nicest stays we've ever had, and we've travelled a lot! Trevor and Kirsten are superb hosts! The property is clean and comfortable with a lovely living room open to everyone to enjoy, a beautiful private back garden where we were served tea and cake, and a sweet dining area that is open for coffee, tea, water, soft drinks and treats 24/7. We were made to feel extremely welcome and Trevor went out of his way to orient us. The location is great and we walked everywhere. The guest room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was beyond fantastic and we would give it more than 10 stars!! We hope to return again in the future and we would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Penzance or the Cornwall region.

Gorgeous B&B - quiet, comfortable and convenient. Rooms were lovely and well appointed - bed was extremely comfortable. Hosts were great - friendly, informative and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and beautifully presented. Parking available onsite which was a bonus. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful old house just a minute’s stroll from the seafront, with a small private car park, and pretty courtyard garden Everything at the Summer House is done with style and great care and it really was a pleasure to stay there. All areas were spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. A variety of breakfast dishes are offered and they were were always of great quality, fresh and beautifully served. The selection of extra drinks and snacks for guests to help themselves to was very thoughtful and generous, and sets them apart from other places, including so called 5* hotels. Trevor and Kirsten are very warm and welcoming hosts. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they were a mine of information on where to visit, eat etc. We will certainly return when we’re next in Cornwall.

Our stay at The Summer House was absolutely wonderful, it exceeded all of our expectations. The property is beautiful and the owners Trevor and Kirsten were simply amazing going above and beyond in everything they did. If you’re thinking of staying in Penzance this is the place to stay.

We felt so welcome at the Summer House and nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully furnished rooms and guest areas. Kirsten is a very talented artist and her paintings adorn the walls. Wonderful linen and towels. Every thing you need and more. Just two minutes from the promenade.

Comfortable, homely and smart. Warm welcome from Trevor & Kirsten, whose lovely paintings grace the walls. Excellent room & generous breakfast. 50 yds to the seafront and 250 yds to the Jubilee Pool. Famous restaurants and galleries of Newlyn and Penzance all in easy walking distance. We’ll be back.

We were greeted warmly, fed well and given helpful advice to make this a wonderful holiday experience in Cornwall. The easy parking was a bonus to a great location near the Penzance waterfront. The room was comfortable and well provisioned - we wish we had stayed longer!

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at . The property is cla an and comftable, the rooms are well equipped with everything you could need. What makes this hotel so good though is the hosts, Trevor and Kirsten are superb hosts! They go out their way to make you feel at home and comfortable, we were made to feel extremely welcome nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety of options available. We would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Penzance or the Cornwall region.

We have just finished a five night stay with Trevor & Kirsten at The Summer House. It was absolutely perfect from the start to the end of our time there! The location of the The Summer House is ideal to explore southern Cornwall and further afield. Trevor & Kirsten couldn’t do enough to ensure we felt comfortable and at home, taking the time to help us research our days out, sharing local knowledge with us and even helping us park our car! Starting our days with a fantastic, and extremely delicious, choice of breakfast, then coming back after a day exploring to the friendliest hosts and most beautiful house was fabulous. The little touches like complimentary fresh milk for a coffee, chilled water and little treats in the pantry were extremely welcome after a busy day out! We would 100% recommend booking your stay at The Summer House, you won’t be disappointed!

An outstanding B&B, which we stayed in for 2 nights en route to Scilly, but we would gladly have stayed longer in this elegant, comfortable and welcoming B&B. Everything is top quality, from the public spaces to the bedrooms and the breakfast. Great thought has gone into the whole building, the level of comfort is outstanding, and the breakfast could not be bettered - high-quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. And even though we were only there for 2 nights, we were made to feel at home for the whole of our all-too-brief visit. The location, just back from the sea-front, is very convenient, there is car-parking on the premises, and Penzance is an excellent centre for exploring south-west Cornwall - Landsend, St Ives, and the Lizard Peninsula are accessible by car or public transport. We have no hesitation in recommending it.

If I could give this a 1000 stars I would. This is the best experience in a hotel/inn I have had. And I have had the opportunity to stay at many luxury hotels around the world. The Inn beats them all hands down. The beds are very comfortable as well as the room. The hosts are what make this place so amazing. They attend to your every wish, even the ones you didn’t know you had! Stay here! I promise you won’t regret it!

This is our third time at The Summer House & wow you couldn’t ask for more. Trevor & Kirsten are amazing hosts nothing is too much trouble, on Friday night we had sharing platters, Caesar Salad & chips after our ferry trip so yummy. In the dining room there are help yourself treat shelves, water, soft drinks & fresh milk for the room in a fridge. Lovely selection of breakfast choices. Great picnic for train journey home. There is also a lovely garden to sit out in & you can enjoy drinks in the cosy lounge. Bedroom & bathrooms perfect, goes without saying. Great art work from Kirsten. Can’t wait to return. From the moment we arrived, Trevor and Kirsten couldn’t have been more welcoming. The decor is cool, with a seaside vibe, the bedrooms are well equipped, the bathrooms have excellent showers and the beds are so comfortable, you’ll not want to get up!! However, what will get you up is the amazing breakfast, which will set you up for the day! We’ll definitely be back, thank you Trevor and Kirsten!!

The Summer House provided a wonderful haven during a very busy working weekend. Kirsten and Trevor worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make us feel at home and provided a fantastic breakfast as well as welcome tea and cakes. Their attention to detail is incredible and Kirsten’s beautiful paintings make the house seem like a cross between a beautiful home and an upmarket gallery. A perfect stay!
