Atendimento e acolhimento excelente, só perde no acesso e estacionamento

Hotel bacana, pena que tem umas torres de alta tensão bem em frente e estragam um pouco o visual. No mais, um ótimo hotel, bem no alto da colina.

The building is beautiful and it’s set in the most stunning surroundings. You can really relax here. It is out of town but taxis are easy if you don’t have a car and you get the incredible views. Also thought the breakfast was the best and loved our dinners in the restaurant.

It’s obvious after our stay why this property is much cheaper than some of its peers-you definitely get what you pay for. Some noteworthy info: 1. Check in front desk person was quite rude and uninviting when we checked in 2. Room was fine with the exception of a large crack in the bathroom wall and the light on the porch didn’t turn off which required us to shut curtains fully and not enjoy sunrise 3. Dining experience was pretty atrocious for dinner-it’s clear they are going for “fine dining” with the pricing and style but several elements made it fall below this. The (inside) restaurant was covered in flies and bugs-at the end of the night there were 10 bugs in my wine and no server acknowledged the diners aggressively swatting or covering their food and drink to prevent this. The veal was hammered-extremely over cooked. As others have mentioned the vegetables (though artfully arranged) were clearly canned and disgusting at a time when fresh vegetables were very much in season. The worst and most expensive meal on our trip. 4. The views as others have mentioned were marred by power lines but as we are not a couple that enjoys an off the grid experience and does enjoy the modern convenience of electricity we cannot fault the hotel for this. I would recommend this property ***** it back to basics and improve staff training and attitude, address the huge bug/pest problem, and focus on improving the quality of food and less on the artfulness of it.

This property has the most lovely views of the Douro Valley wine country; superb. The rooms and dining facility are very comfortable, as is the lounge and outdoor pool, on top of the building. Unfortunately, the food was not so great, very bland and a limited menu for dinner (only two choices, neither our favorite) and poorly prepared. That is the main reason for our lower rating for this facility.

Foi uma boa estadia. Hotel muito bem decorado, limpo, confortável. No entanto, optei pelo jantar, mas foi um pouco decepcionante. Pedi um prato com filé suíno, mas tanto a apresentação do prato quanto a quantidade realmente deixaram a desejar, principalmente pelo valor pago. Esperava algo mais elaborado e não era nada demais. O café da manhã também é bem simples para o porte do hotel.

The hotel is a very good base to explore the Alto Douro region. Is close to Lamego, Régua and to other wineries. The food is very good and the staff is very attentive and helpful. We stay for 2 nights and it was quite enjoyable.

Great stay! We had an awesome time. Stay is really friendly and welcoming. We did the wine tasting which was excellent! Rooms are upscale and clean. The hotel is up to date and well furnished.
