國王溪站露營地(Kings Creek Station)

Wie in den Prospekten und auf der Web Page erwähnt, gibt es auf dieser Rinderfarm Unterkünfte verschiedener Preiskategorien. Wir haben uns für die niedlichen Bush Tents entschieden, die wie auf einer Perlenkette aufgereiht, auf dem Gelände der Farm stehen. Die Zelte beinhalten zwei Betten, ein Nachtkästchen, eine Klimaanlage und mehrere Steckdosen. Also nicht sehr feudal, aber viel besser als ein Stellplatz am lokalen Campground. Ja, die Hüttchen haben sogar etwas Abenteuerliches und Romanisches an sich. Neben der Klimaanlage, die ganz locker mit den Temperaturen fertig wird, sind wohl die Fliegengitter die wichtigsten Einrichtungsgegenstände. Neben den Zelten gibt es ein gemeinsames Waschhaus, sowie eine große Gemeinschaftsküche mit allen Utensilien. Das WiFi ist am gesamten Gelände empfangbar. Die Buchung eines solchen Buschzeltes geschieht auf B&B Basis, d.h. ein Frühstück ist inbegriffen. Und das hat es in sich. Es ist ein richtiges Cowboy Frühstück mit Würstel, Speck, Bohnen und Eier. Natürlich auch Kaffee, Tee, Toast, usw. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Auf der Station gibt es auch ein Cafe, einen Shop und ganz wichtig, eine Tankstelle. Es werden verschiedene Touren angeboten und alles hat einen abenteuerlichen Touch. Aber Vorsicht: Cowboyromantik kann man nur noch am Lagerfeuer erleben, die Station selbst betreibt keine Viehzucht mehr. Zudem sind die Preise relativ hoch angesetzt, was aber mit der langen Lieferkette zu tun hat. Es gibt aber noch eine Herde Kamele auf der Farm. Ich kann die KCS nur weiterempfehlen!

Bush tent may look basic but was a really comfortable night. Breakfast was excellent. Full English. Kept us going all day. Evening meal was also good. Lovely camel bangers and mash. Location is superb for King's canyon. Staff were fantastic.

My husband I stayed here for two nights to explore Kings Canyon which is about 25 mins drive away. We stayed in a Drovers Dream 'tent' with the luxury of a double bed, bathroom, air conditioning, bbq area and our own fire pit. We were provided with fish, steak and lamb to cook on our bbq over the two nights. We were actually 4km away from the main reception and cafe at the station but the remote feeling with spectacular views was incredible. The Bough shed breakfast was nothing special but it did the trick for fuelling us for our climb up to the Canyon Rim. I would highly recommend The Drovers Dream experience for anyone coming this way that wants a special experience.

Superbe tente aménagée comme un hôtel avec toilette et douche, très propre, vue imprenable sur les montagnes, nous avons assisté à un magnifique coucher de soleil et ciel étoilé. Le feu près de la tente c’est super. Personnel très sympathique.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The location is so serene and a wonderful place to watch the gorgeous sunrise and sunset from your bed. It was very clean and comfortable and had nearly everything we needed. It's such a beautiful location and set up we wish we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this to others and would love to return in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Bush Tent (with air-con). The beds were comfortable. Without air-con we probably would not have stayed in the Bush Tent. The shower and toilet were nearby servicing the Bush Tents. We found these to be more than adequate. There was also a communal kitchen area with fridge, microwave, outside BBQ, etc. The pool is also a treasure, especially after hiking Kings Canyon. The cafe was fantastic serving the best coffee and food. A lovely outdoor, undercover area to dine or you can enjoy the air-con indoors. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was included in our package however we had an early start one morning and the staff packed us an awesome takeaway breakfast the night before. I loved the outback experience of Kings Creek Station, the wind, the red dust, no mosquitos and the silence. Would have loved a camel ride, however they had shut down for the season. It is the outback so you have to expect the above, ie wind, red dust etc. I loved it.

An easy drive from Uluru airport, quick check in process and easy to find the Mort Tents site, trolley available to move our bags from car to room which is a short walk. Our tent was exactly as described, both the room and bathroom were large and very clean, AC was already on when we arrived. Bed was comfortable, though the pillows were very hard, dinner at the station was OK and staff did a great job given how busy they were, take away breakfast was fantastic. We couldn't find the pool. A couple of small changes would be great - a light at the white gate so you can see the padlock code easily, have variety in the 4 pillows (soft, hard etc) and provide a spot for key drop at Morts site or allow key to be locked in room (that would save driving back to the station when you are rushing to sunrise) and more signage within the camp site to make it easier to find the sunset viewing. Overall great stay.

We stayed in the Mort Conway Camp which was in a nice secluded spot a short drive away from the main campground reception etc. The tent was well equipped with a mini fridge stocked with bottled water (you can't drink the bore water used for showering and the basin), air conditioning, a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. There were also some folding chairs that you could use on the little deck to enjoy the bush setting, the sunrise, sunset and stagrazing were highlights. Also included was a main meal and buffet breakfast at the cafe which made things very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay, it was a shame we only had 1 night. Would definitely come here again.

We stayed in the bush tent for one night - very comfortable and we were close to the facilities. Fuel on site was expensive but we found that to be the case in Uluru area in general. The camel burger and food at the cafe for dinner was delicious. We decided to go on an early morning walk at the Canyon and would miss breakfast so the staff organised a to-go breakfast bag that was great. The camel farm on site was also great.
