聖卡洛斯市中心/會議中心酒店(Hotel San Carlos - Downtown Convention Center)

位置很好。工作人員很友好。床很好，但浴室和房間有點陳舊。由於沒有冰箱，有點不方便。

Signs in the hotel note that it was a favorite of Clark Gable. It appears very little has changed since then. The walls are paper thin--any normal conversation from next door or the hallway is audible through the night. The showers cycle between hot and cold. The internet basically was non-functional the entire time I was there.

Room was very small. Bathroom was even smaller, very tight squeeze inside. Tv had no cable, It had regular digital antenna. Entrance door was right next to bathroom. Almost fell going into bathroom. Light switch is outside of bathroom door. Had to step up on step to go in. Checking in, clerk was very cold. Seemed distracted. He was more receptive when two females who weren’t even staying there came to use the restroom and were on a scavenger hunt. Room was clean but not updated. I understand it’s a 95 year old hotel but it needs a lot of renovations. Shower water temperature fluctuates between scalding hot to cold. You could hear everything and everyone from outside door. It’s an antique hotel. Nice to stay once for experience.

This hotel has a lot of character but generally dated amenities. The halls are lined with art pieces and newspaper clippings showcasing important pieces of Phoenix history, including the suicide of Leone Jensen, who leapt off the top floor of the building (guests are no longer permitted in that area). Hotel walls are thin and the hot water in the rooms is a bit spotty, but that's something I'd expect for a place that banks more on the overall character and history of the venue compared to showcasing five-star accommodations. I enjoyed the city view from my room on the fifth floor, and the shampoo/soaps provided were good quality.

Really enjoyed my stay in this historic downtown hotel. I read some negative reviews which had me worried but those reviewers had unrealistic expectations in my opinion. It is an older hotel without 5 star amenities but the staff is friendly and location is great.

This was sold as an older, period-style hotel. Instead, it was a broken-down pit of a hotel. The pool has not worked in months, if not years- ( this is false advertising.). But, the staff took the cake; it seems to be a "works program" for those who could not get a real job, and thoroughly don't understand what "hospitality" means. They seem to think that we, the guests, are there to bother them from their cool lives at the hotel. Sad. This could be the fabulous, retro hotel in a sea of chain hotels--but it is not. The only bright spot was the small restaurant and taco bar downstairs--run by someone else--whose tacos are AMAZING! (travel-o-city should investigate the property...reality vs advertisement.)

We enjoyed the “ambiance” of the Hotel San Carlos and the location to various venues; however amenities are few! There IS an iron & ironing board, hair drier, tiny shampoo, conditioner & lotion. (Cute) The TINY coffee maker with awful coffee. It’s a fun place, but doors SLAM all night long…..mmmmm 👻

Staff was friendly but seemed short staffed. New management did away with the ghost tours, had we known this we would have stayed elsewhere. The pool was closed, this is the wrong time of year to be messing with this we would have chosen a different property had we known. The homeless in the downtown area is a safety concern as many are clearly suffering mental health issues.
