Wij zaten hier 1 nacht om daarna de Queen Charlotte track te lopen. De eigenaar heeft ons heel veel verteld over de omgeving. daarnaast konden we onze spullen bij hem opslaan tijdens de wandeling. Niets is teveel om het naar de zin te maken. Kamer heeft kleine koelkast, maar in de gezamenlijke ruimte is er een koelkast met vriesvak aanwezig. Ontbijt was goed. Mooi buitenplaatsje.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt bei Janet mit einem wunderbaren Frühstück (mit frischem Obst!) und viel Gastfreundschaft! Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, ein Kühlschrank vorhanden. Kaffee, Tee, Milch und Wasserkocher sind in der Küche mit einer großen Auswahl! Danke für alles!

The service provided by anchor down was fantastic from the moment I contacted them regarding a booking for myself and my elderly parents. Facilities were excellent, Breakfast ( including strawberries from the garden) was plentiful and tasty. The location is quiet but very convenient to the town. Loved the garden - great place to relax. When we go to Picton again we will definitely stay here.

We were warmly greeted by our hosts Janet and Ian and given a tour of their lovely home where we would be staying. Everything was wonderful including the fantastic breakfast that was already on the table when we got up in the morning. It is obvious that this couple enjoy hosting people from around the world and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Easily the best hosts anywhere in our 3 week NZ adventure! Highly recommended

We stayed 2 nights Ian and Janet are so welcoming and friendly The rooms are excellent plenty of space very clean the beds are so comfy we will definitely be back They are very helpfull and knows alot about the area.😊

Clean and comfortable accomodation in a great location for exploring Picton. Janet was welcoming and very helpful, with great recommendations for places to visit. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. There is a lovely garden patio area to use, but our weather wasn't too good so couldn't take advantage of it. All in all a lovely stay.

Exceptional! We loved everything during our stay at Anchor Down. Janet and Ian were so welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and the beautiful courtyard in which we enjoyed relaxing in! Our room was fantastic too! A very big thank you!

Only a ten minute walk from the waterfront, Anchor Down is a real home from home. Janet and Ian make you very welcome, and give lots of helpful information about things to do locally, including boat and wine tours. The rooms are really comfortable and guests have use of their own sunny deck area. Breakfasts have home made preserves and cereals and guests also have access to tea and coffee making facilities and a bbq. Highly recommended - comfortable and quiet. Best to book ahead.

Janet and Robert are brilliant hosts. Apartment spotlessly clean and bed super comfortable, especially the pillows. Breakfast could not be faulted, with so much to choose from Cannot recommend highly enough. Many thanks George and Jill.
