桑帕達旅館(Sampada Inn)

The staff were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help, lugging our heavy bags up 5 flights of stairs and moving a larger second bed into our room, (the original one was about 2feet wide) However the kitchenette had a fully functional cooker hood with no cooker, no kettle and no equipment,in fact all the cupboards were bare! There were holes in the sheets and the room was not clean, with chipped and peeling plaster. Breakfast was fine, we sat outside as the dining room was rather depressing. Lovely dog who lives on the premises.

Excellent, friendly service and the warmest of welcomes. Flawless English. Excellent free wifi. Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent location. Cannot recommend highly enough. The building is delightful, so many small details with intricate masonry and beautiful wood carvings.

We stayed here for several nights and enjoyed it very much. Top location in Lake District. Super friendly staff. The laundry service was very practical after our trekking. The mix of modern and traditional make it a very beautifully decorated hotel. The rooms on the fifth floor are very spacy and comfortable.

A second stay at Sampada Inn... the first one was in 2013. This place is quite unlike the other hotels in Pokhara. It's designed in the Newari style, inside and out, with attention to detail in every nook and cranny. The staff are excellent and the owners are Nepalis with deep roots in Pokhara and Kathmandu. We had some good chats in the evenings. My room was cavernous, with a queen and a single bed, kitchen, balcony and spacious bathroom. A small sitting area went unused as I was by myself. The balcony got a lot of use; with the mountains visible from the room (see pics). It really felt like home versus the countless white box hotels that have sprung up in Pokhara. I stayed here for roughly a week, waiting out the monsoon. The hotel is located quite centrally in Lakeside but in a side street, so off the main drag and away from the noise. A highly recommended stay and one I leave with great reluctance; thanks again Nirwan and staff for a warm welcome and an excellent stay.
