We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our Pacific Northwest driving tour. We stayed in a double in the Marymere Lodge about 200 feet from the main lodge. If this were a franchise hotel, it would be considered a dump: the room was quite dated, torn lamp shades, no ice available (that we could find), very dated bathroom with a rusty radiator, dirty rug, etc. As is typical in many national park lodges: no wi-if, no phone, no TV…..so as a national park lodge our room would be considered pretty average. In fairness, the lodge was an iconic early 1900 era lodge with a beautiful view of the lake and the surroundings. The restaurant was pretty good, but reasonably pricey. On the plus side, it was a good location for exploring that area of Olympic National Park…..but at $200+ /night I might consider staying in Sequim or Port Angeles (a half hour to an hour away) as an alternative.
