Homewood Suites by Hilton Portland Airport

I request through booking that we get a quiet room due to traveling for Cancer treatment and need rest. Room smelled like socks but dropped family off and when I got back it was ok. Then they put someone in the room above and mind you there were more rooms to have booked and then some. But the people were up at 4 am...heavy feet almost like stomping around for over an hour... woke us all up.... last time all was great - this time, it was like not caring... just saying

Family of 5 In town for Blazers game- 18-20 min from Moda, not a bad drive! Very friendly/ helpful front desk. Clean. Hot/cold buffet breakfast (which we haven’t tried yet).

Room was dirty and had not been serviced except for the bed being made. Went to front desk and requested shampoo, coffee. and other items not replaced in room. Needed towels in bathroom and was told they would bring them. Had to go front desk the next morning to get said towels. There were used coffee pods still in coffee machine when we first got in to room, trash in wastebaskets.

Stayed in a suite with kitchen facilities. Also used the free airport shuttle and enjoyed the typical hot/cold breakfast items. Pool and outdoor space with patio firepit was a perfect way to relax. Top notch property with friendly and helpful staff.

Overnight stay. Great room for the cost and extra friendly service from the staff. One of the few rooms we had in Oregon with A/C. Call out to Sandre at the front desk who helped arrange a nice dinner out.

Just needed a place to stay by the airport since we had an early flight. Staff was friendly over email, phone, and when we arrived. Our room wasnt ready at 4pm when we checked in, so they gave us a larger room, no charge! Always appreciate when a hotel does that, versus simply offering apologies and asking us to wait or come back in a hour or so. The room was as we’d expect from a Homewood Suites: clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The pool was clean and well maintained. Plenty of clean towels poolside. Wish we could have enjoyed the breakfast, but we had to leave at 5am.

Overall we had a good stay. The night staff was great. The room was clean. However, we did have an issue with the guests above us. There was a toddler who was running through the unit during the evening, which wasn't a big deal. The issue was the toddler was up, with family, at 3 AM in the morning moving around quite loudly, as the family was checking out at 4 AM. Had we known we would have requested a refund and found another place to stay as we had intended on sleeping in, which we shared with the front desk. It was never relayed to us that the guest would be checking out at 4 AM. When we requested a partial refund we were offered $50.00 for the inconvenience, which was not sufficient as we payed quite a bit of money for a 2 bedroom suite so that our entire party would have be comfortable and get a good night's rest since we had been traveling.
