海洋別墅酒店(Villa Marine Guest House)

Meine eher zurückhaltende Haltung gegenüber Südafrika ist einer Freude und Neugier gewichen. Dazu war unser Beginn ein gelungener Einstieg: Villa Marine, nur etwa eine Autostunde vom Flugplatz Kapstadt entfernt, war für die ersten Tage unser herzliches und äußerst komfortables Zuhause. Direkt am Meer gelegen Ausgangspunkt für viele spannende Unternehmungen: Strand, schroffe Küste, Bergwanderungen, Pinguine, botanischer Garten, Weinverkostungen, Kapstadt, …, und abends vor dem Essen in einem der je besonderen Restaurants in der Nähe ein wunderschöner Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse bei einem Glas Wein. Später, nach einigen sehr interessanten Tagen auf der Garden Route, die gleich nebenan beginnt, haben wir unsere Tour noch einmal in der Villa Marine ausklingen lassen. Sie ist einfach zu empfehlen. We had a very nice 2 nights stay. A wonderful room with the pool just outside our bedroom. The sea and the waves and the wind were our neighbors. The friendly and warm atmosphere also made our visit exceptional. Great breakfast in the morning.

The young lady at the front deck was accommodating. Coffee cups and cereal bowls at breakfast are cumbersome, especially when served on such small tables. For example, remove the saucer. The balcony loungers were covered in bird manure, and there was a hole in the deck where someone attempted to javelin a parasol. The housekeeping staff member seemed to be distracted by her mobile phone, which was inhospitable. I asked for the room not to be serviced whilst we were at breakfast as we wanted to freshen up before going out for the day. This was met with contempt and ill feeling by the housekeeping staff member, who refused to greet me again after that. Hence no gratuity When we returned at 5 p.m., it had not been serviced. The GM apologized and offered to take care of the room. Inattentive slow service at breakfast The property was left unlocked at night (the door leading onto the pool deck), which I queried, and the window was left open, which was concerning. The general manager was very cordial. It is a delightful property and well positioned in a beautiful part of the western Cape coast.

I loved this property! Stayed in Room 3. I’m a writer so it was a perfect spot for some inspirational peace and quiet. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is spot on. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all then this is it.

Superb views right on the ocean, extremely well appointed, immaculately clean rooms, with attention to detail and sumptuous breakfast, with a friendly and welcoming hostess, made this a perfect stay. A quiet seaside town with a surprisingly great choice of restaurants.

Right on the edge of the ocean, this is a lovely place to stay. Extremely peaceful and in a safe and happy community. We really enjoyed our time here and left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Thank you!

House is very nicely decorated, offers very good breakfast, staff is very friendly, with a good restaurant nearby (The Cork), and we especially loved the nearby Kogelberg Biosphere reserve for a hike and swim in the Palmiet river

Lovely for couples. We booked a jacuzzi suite which was lovely but when we got there it was very windy and there was smoke from the wildfires which meant that we couldn’t open the doors. This made the room very stuffy and hot as there was no A/C which made it not nice to sleep in. It was a nice stay just disappointed about the A/C and no room fan.

Such a lovely stay at Villa Marine! Exceptionally clean, modern, fresh and beautiful. The most perfect location with the perfect sea view. The guest house is beautifully decorated and the facilities are amazing. The attention to detail is great - from water next to your bed, a bean-to-cup coffee machine in the communal kitchen (working during load shedding!), bathrobes and a lovely warm jacuzzi on your doorstep. Absolutely love this place and cannot wait to come back! The service is amazing!!!
