比阿特麗斯(The Beatrice)

A very well appointed hotel conveniently located in the historic downtown adjacent to RISD and an easy, if uphill walk, to Brown, with a number of decent restaurants nearby. The furnishings, bathroom, and linens were all of high quality. Despite other reviews I found the staff to be rather limited in their engagement versus the friendliness praised elsewhere, but nothing off-putting. The restaurant Bellini tries to punch a bit above its weight though for Providence it’s decent. Overall by far the best hotel in Providence but still a stretch from true five star luxury or a genuine upscale business hotel like Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental.

Very disappointed that the breakfast restaurant was closed on Chris**as Eve. We stayed there for our 40th wedding anniversary and that feature was one that my wife selected this hotel for. Also, there was plenty of vacancy and the staff did not offer an upgrade in room quality to make up for the closed restaurant and that in was our 40th, which we mentioned at check-in. 2 stars on facilities because of closed restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay at The Beatrice. The staff were attentive and and the accomodations were of high quality. The location in a beautiful old building at entrance to the downtown area could not be beat, as it allowed easy walking access to many different neighborhoods, such as college hill, down city, little Italy, the jewelry district and of course downtown. Two suggestions for even better service - Have the housekeeping staff turn the shower wand to face the shower wall away from guests, as unfortunately the plumbing always reverts to the wand from the showerhead when the water is turned off and we were unpleasantly suprised by a forceful spray of cold water when we first used the shower. Also, get better Do Not Disturb Signs. They are very thin and flimsly, and can move with the door movement. Ours apparently twisted and we were awakened by a housekeeper who thought we wanted service. Other than these two small unfortunate incidents we loved our stay.

Rooms are very, very nice and upscale. The lobby is beautiful, and both restaurants were phenomenal. The staff were all friendly and wonderful. Something constructive: 1. It was a bit loud in the mornings. They could invest in sound mitigation to keep the 6 am delivery for the hotel restaurants from waking guests. 2. It would have been nice to have the room set for our arrival - lights, temp, etc. 3. It was our fault for not ordering Italian drinks at the bar. Visiting friends ordered a margarita. It probably shouldn't have been on the cocktail list, and we should not have ordered it.

We had such a comfortable stay. The room was nicely appointed and spacious (the bathroom was particularly nice) and the service from the front desk and valet was friendly, prompt and excellent. Great location just below College Hill. Worth the high price and I will return!

Beautiful, clean, quiet. Staff is professional and friendly. My only recommendation would be to provide additional information about what’s available in the surrounding stores, such as toiletries, food, and wine. Will definitely be back!

The service of The Beatrice was really good. Especially housekeeping was kind and did very good job.

Great hotel to stay in while visiting Brown University. Walkable, upscale, friendly staff. Loved the hardwood floors and smart toilet :-)

Outstanding front desk service and valet parking. The rooms are 5 star, I would highly recommend this hotel.
