Amazing hotel with cave like design, super clean room, the only drawback is we needed to carry the luggage up the hotel as it’s located slightly up the hill, the hotel staff was very helpful to have helped, it was worth the walk.

Siamo andati in un weekend di febbraio e siamo stati benissimo. La reception ci ha aspettato fino a notte tarda per il check-in (n.b.: non è così scontato. Altri hotel nei sassi non avevano accettato la nostra prenotazione perché arrivavamo dopo le 21.00) e sono stati tutti davvero cortesi. L'hotel era molto pulito e la posizione è la migliore della città, a mio parere. Tra l'altro ho scoperto che stanno aprendo anche una spa. Ci tornerò sicuramente!

Un accoglienza 10 e lode, sin dal primo contatto telefonico per l’eventuale prenotazione: il signor Mario e tutto lo staff si sono presi “cura” di noi e delle nostre esigenze rendendo il soggiorno piacevolissimo. Stanza bella, tutto perfetto. In particolare abbiamo alloggiato nella stanza 7 con uno splendido terrazzo con vista sul sasso (Caveoso), molto suggestiva in particolare la sera. Colazione ottima

Ottimo hotel diffuso. Siamo stati ospiti nella camera n° 2, molto bella, comoda, e dotata di ogni confort. La colazione molto ricca e con prodotti di qualità. Straordinaria la simpatia e la disponibilità di Mario, ma anche di tutto lo staff. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Ne vale la pena.

I did not like that when I first requested parking it was not communicated that the acces to the hotel by car was not permitted. I made the reservation and counted on the information provided on your site, which did not warn of any issues regarding parking. The hotel advertised that parking was available and it was it. Between my reservation and checking, the hotel sent me information by mail warning me about the need to park outside the ZTL area and gave me instructions about parking. Unfortunately, by the time I read the hotel message I had already attempted to go straight to the hotel, which I later found that it wasn’t possible and had actually committed a traffic offense for entering the ZTL zone by car (I went in and out right away after being warned by a resident that I had committed a traffic violation). The traffic violation has not arrived but after searching for information about this, I learned the fine would be considerable - between 90 and 180 euros! I believe the whole thing was a bad experience that could have been avoided if given the right information when making rhe reservation online. Not fair, and not a good busines practice.

Bellissimo hotel con vista sulla Murgia . Camere confortevoli e ottima colazione . Posizione comoda per la visita ai sassi di Matera . Professionalità , gentilezza e disponibilità al top . We corresponded by email with Bette about our reservation and stay at Cenbbio Hotel. She responded promptly and in English. Our shuttle car arrived within a few minutes of our phoning from the parking garage Francesco, the driver was very efficient and helpful. We did have to walk down a good number of flights of steps with our luggage. Francesco helped with our bags and went at our pace which made it easier. The hike was well worth it because the hotel and the view are SPECTACULAR. Ivana at reception gave us a very warm welcome. The rooms were unique- beautiful 'caves' with modern amenities and elegant furnishings. The complimentary breakfast was great- pastries, fruits, cured meats, wonderful cheeses and eggs cooked to order. All of the staff greeted us warmly. Mario, the manager was particularly good conversation. He spoke with us in English and Italian. We would love to return to Matera and Cenobbio Hotel!

Cenobio Hotel Matera was perfect. If you have a car, pay for the parking and pick up/drop off. Well worth it. Mario was amazing and just a very pleasant guy to welcome you to the hotel. He made a reservation for us at Annina 1937 which was delicious. The rooms were a good size and very clean. Great showers. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
