For the price it’s good for kids. Club only open Saturday and Sunday. The food it’s 7pm if the run out that is it. I will not go again we on vacation so we want some fun activities in the hotel to do. But don’t take me wrong if you go with little kids yes good place. But the age 18 to 55 and you want some fun not the place

We were very happy with our stay, we had plenty of food options and great variety. I loved having the golf carts available to take us around the property, I struggle with walking at times, so it was nice being able to get around on those rough days. My biggest complaint is that room service trays didn’t get picked up after a certain time, so every night between 12am-4am we heard plates banging in the hallway from the raccoons and coati eating everything left out, so maybe having a better system for trays would cut down on the ruckus at night. The 2 things I wish were available were…Breakfast on the room service menu and a quick bites/snack area at the pool, it’s a pain getting the kids out of the pool and dried off to go get lunch and then right back to the pool.

I was really looking forward in staying at this resort but our experience was horrible from the start. Our rooms were all paid in advance but I was not able to check into one of the rooms because one of our guest was not there yet. I was charged $800 to allow my daughter to stay in the premises, even though her stayed there was completely paid for prior to arriving to the resort. 2nd issue; we were given an already occupied room so we had to go back to the lobby to report this. 3rd issue; one of the rooms had toilet issues, that were reported and nothing was done. Our very last night was spent with a cleaning crew in our room, needless to say that I would never stay there again. The front desk customer service needs to be retrained.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The staff was always so gracious and welcoming. There was never any press for timeshares, but it was there if you wanted it. Gilberto at the pool bar is the best! The food was good, but a bit bland , understandably because of so many differences in types of groups to serve…the restaurants were top notch. Went to the gym daily- super great! Entertainment Team was very welcoming! I actually taught Zumba with them 3 times! Thank you for that! Can’t wait to come back! Met some new friends… Will definitely go there again!

Getting ala carte dining reservations is nearly impossible, especially for shorter stays. Buffet was pretty bad. It lacked variety and quality wasn't as good as other resorts we've stayed at. Service wasn't bad, just not great. We didn't get the super outgoing/friendly service we're accustomed to getting in Mexico.

We will not stay here again. From the minute we arrived, we were asked to shell out money. It literally begins at check in where they automatically try to sell you an upgraded room versus letting you just check into what you already booked. It continues with asking guests to pay $20 for wifi, per day, PER DEVICE. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. It continues on with housekeeling entering your room soon after check in to clean it and leave an envelope for tipping them. What we really hated though: the beach here is absolutely gross. The water is brown and hot and disgusting. Further, there is a permanent smell of sewer in the air. It's hard to enjoy being out at the pool even when you have to breathe in the smell of poo at all times. Just gross. We will not be back and suggest you go elsewhere as well.

El hotel en buen estado, excelente atencion por parte del personal, piscinas grandes y limpas. La playa es muy mala, muy bajita y sucia, imposible bañ**** en ella con tan poca profundidad y tanto sargazos

We love El Cid. All the space with multiple pools/chairs etc makes us all happy. Never too crowded.

Everything was excellent except for the beach. You will be able to find a little bit of a swimming area at ventus if you go left.
