None of this is publicized on the hotel's website which keeps promoting full service. We were not informed when booking by phone either. Our party of three discovered all this when checking in. Completely unexpected in October 2021 as regular service has resumed everywhere in France since May 2021. When we complained, staff confessed that giving such information would have a deterrent effect, and we were candidly told that the pandemic-justified policy trims costs and helps saving money. Front desk is left to cope with angry customers, trapped when they discover the truth. Of course, guests staying juste one night and not using food & beverage service can't realize what's going on here. To add insult to injury, housekeeping burst in my room at 9am on my last morning there, to clean my room for a next customer, despite my having pressed the « privacy » red button on the door, not to mention that I had of course not even checked-out yet. Breakfast was subpar: frozen pastries (pains au chocolat, croissants...) and hazardous policies with shared silverware to collect food from the buffet. All customers keep touching the same service clamps. Fully inconsistent with the excuse of limiting virus spread! In other properties, rooms are made up daily and each guest has his personal clamps at breakfast buffet. One of our room on the ground floor also suffered from noise coming from neighbors just above: flushing toilets and showers woke us up. On the bright side, rooms were perfectly clean and staff was kind. To sum up, Oceania Quimper has purposely chosen to lie on its website and to mislead its customers regarding its level of service. I can only recommend to choose deliberately an other hotel, a property you can trust.

Das Hotel liegt sehr außerhalb in einem Industriegebiet. Da wir spät ankamen, war die Rezeption nicht besetzt und wir mussten mit einem Code ins Hotel und ins Zimmer. Im Bad war ein großer Schimmelfleck an der Wand und die Dusche war an sämtlichen Stellen schimmelig. Das Fenster war uralt, hält keinerlei Lärm ab und war ebenfalls schimmelig. Da die Rezeption ja nicht besetzt war, mussten wir in dem klammen Zimmer schlafen. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir uns direkt an den Hotelmanager gewandt. Er sah absolut kein Problem und ist recht patzig geworden, als wir ihn um ein anderes Zimmer oder die Erstattung für die kommende Nacht gebeten haben, damit wir uns ein anderes Hotel suchen können. Er könne nicht verstehen, warum uns das bisschen Schimmel stört, er hätte sich noch niemand beschwert. Da wir nicht alles auf französisch verstanden haben, haben wir darum gebeten, dass er englisch mit uns spricht. Daraufhin meinte er nur, er sei Franzose und da spreche er eben französisch. Ein anderes Zimmer könne er uns nicht geben, da das Hotel ausgebucht sei. Ach langem Hin und Her ist er wütend aus dem Zimmer gerannt und plötzlich konnte er uns doch ein anderes Zimmer anbieten. Das war zumindest nicht klamm und hatte nur leicht Schimmel am Vorhang und ein bisschen in der Dusche. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, dem Standort von Ibis Budgets entsprechend. Wir sind seit vielen Jahren begeisterte Ibis und Ibis Budget Nutzer, aber sowas haben wir noch nicht erlebt!

Really nice stay. 4 nights with two rooms, we loved the location close to old town, but quiet at night. Off street parking is great (7 euros a night) in a town that is really tough to find parking. Rooms were large, great shower, wonderful staff, good wifi, everything you want in a hotel. I really liked that they had a cold water filter machine as well for guests! Crib for the baby was great too. Highly recommend this hotel.

les chambres sont correct et confortable et l ensemble propre mais vieillissant. Mais en cette période ,entrer dans une chambre froide équipée d'un radiateur ”petit” ,fait que le temps qu'elle met à atteindre une température ambiant ”normale” vous oblige presque à conserver son blouson (humour , pas vraiment...) d'ou le titre de mon avis , car pour l ensemble vous méritez un 4....

Extremely friendly and attentive staff that were always there to greet with a smile. No problem was too big, nor small for the staff at Ibis Quimper. Room was tidy and the hotel had great amenities, including on-site chickens. The team were very accommodating to a room change following a slight mistake with the beds and dealt with issues accordingly. Staff had great local knowledge and were extremely friendly. Would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the area.

Surprisingly good! The rooms where very clean and recently refurbished. The shower was great, warm and a good pressure. The food in the restaurant was lovely! Would really recommend eating at the hotel as there doesn’t seem to be much around. The staff were all so welcoming and kind! Our French wasn’t great but luckily we all managed!! The only thing I would say to improve would be for tea and coffee to be supplied in the room, there was a kettle but no tea and coffee.

Hatte ein ruhiges Zimmer mit Blick auf den Innenhof. Das Zimmer war soweit okay und sauber, aber: - Safe funktionierte nicht (Batterien entfernt); man wartet auf neue Safes - Pappbecher für warme und kalte Getränke - schrecklich! - Veraltete Klimaanlage, nicht ausreichend, das Zimmer angenehm zu temperieren! - Im Bad hängt ein Aufkleber, in welchen Abfalleimer (Schlafzimmer oder Badezimmer) der Abfall getrennt werden soll; leider sagt die englische Fassung das Gegenteil von der französischen aus (siehe Foto). Die Putzfrau entsorgte den Inhalt des Abfalleimers im Bad in die Toilette, der Inhalt schwamm oben. Tolles Konzept! Das Frühstück (mit Rührei, Würstchen, Bacon) ist soweit okay, aber für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel mäßig von der Qualität her. Hatte einmal das schon geschnittene Obst aus den Weckgläsern probiert, ungenießbar – es gärte! Samstag und Sonntag war der heiße Teil des Frühstücks nur lauwarm; am Sonntag lagen keine Bestecke beim Aufschnittbuffet und keine Servietten beim Brot – nicht gerade hygienisch! Ein junger Mann räumte die Tische ab, ohne sie danach abzuwischen, und führte laut Selbstgespräche.
