查卡那精品酒店(Chakana B&B Hotel Boutique Centro)

Me quedé una noche en este hotel. En tránsito hacia la amazonía ecuatoriana. Es un hotel muy lindo, con encanto, realmente un hotel boutique en su sentido estricto. La habitación preciosa, el servicio amable, el desayuno muy bueno. Realmente poco más que decir, solo felicitaciones.

Très belle chambre, déco au top, personnel accueillant et attentif. Awki nous a bien renseigné dès notre arrivée, l'hôtel est proche du centro historico et le restaurant est très bon. Spécialités locales en options au petit déjeuner qui est copieux et savoureux Espaces communs, terrasse entretenue et jolie vue sur Quito

Был приятно удивлен клиентоориентированностью персонала: отличный дружелюбный сервис, дали карту, показали все достопримечательности, рассказали правила безопасности! Я был с маленькой собакой, ее очень позитивно восприняли, в отеле есть своя собака, которая радостно встречает всех гостей. Комната достаточно просторная, с красивым аутентичным дизайном, все чисто и аккуратно. Большая удобная кровать, чистый санузел, в душе горячая вода с хорошим напором, есть простенький шампунь и гель для душа. В номере было ночью достаточно прохладно, но есть обогреватель. В отеле есть ресторан, к сожалению, заселялся поздно, поужинать уже не удалось. На кухне бесплатный чай, кофе, вода, печенье и бананы. Завтрак включен, вкусный, хоть и небольшой по объему: сок, кофе, фрукты с йогуртом и гранолой, яичница, кусочек сыра и кусочек ветчины, хлеб из кукурузы.

Chakana Hotel was the best possible home base in Quito. Yvone and Awki are two incredibly kind and useful people who share their passion with everyone who comes to the hotel. The hotel itself is super tasteful with lots of history built in, and a fantastic restaurant downstairs! They let us store some things when we left to other parts of the country and returned at a later time in the trip! Absolutely great experience here overall.

La atención del personal fue excepcionalmente buena y realizaron un gran esfuerzo en hacer comoda mi estancia. La.zona es muy centrica y tiene cerca una zona de restaurantes y bares. El hotel tiene una decoración muy particular y es limpio y bien cuidado. Sentí que obtuve mas de lo que pague por la estancia.

This is a fabulous place in Quito, which seems to not have a lot of great places to stay. The decor, the vibe, the staff, and the food were excellent. We enjoyed our daily breakfast and had great service. They sell some incredible handicrafts. We really enjoyed it. However... almost the entire place is wood, with very little carpeting. So the doors, locks, talking, and movements in the hotel echo and are quite loud, in my opinion. (Hotels should know, a tiny sign that says 'quiet please' is simply not enough. Maybe ask your guests to keep it down when they check in if you care about this issue.) I got very poor sleep both nights I was there. We could also hear absolutely everything, and i mean *everything* going on in the room next door to ours. This couple went on for awhile... then stayed up talking and laughing. The hotel also makes a few claims it does not live up to. There is no one around late at night, so at 1 and 2 in the morning, I can't ask someone at the front desk to tell our neighbors to quiet down - I have to deal with it myself or put up with it. There was also no kettle in our room, as stated in the room description. Arriving late at night, I wish they had not made this false claim, because I would have brought myself something to drink. On our way back to the airport, there was a lot of confusion when we asked them to call us a taxi. Not a big deal, in the end we just walked outside and caught one. It seemed like at night, there is virtually nothing going on in this area. It's not quiet; you'll still hear people, dogs barking, car horns, etc. But this neighborhood was not one for nightlife or interesting nighttime strolls.

The owner of this property was always ever ready to help with any question or concern we had. We weren't sure where we could park, and after coming late at 11 pm, he drove with me to park at a near by house, woke up the owner, and walked back with me - all with a smile the entire time. He took pride in his property, a genuine pride; which resonated in his actions.

The Chakana is so much more than just a place to stay. The owners are wonderful people who are happy to share their culture and knowledge. The hotel honours the Andean culture from colour choices, artwork, food (more about the restaurant shortly) incense, artisanal products in the lobby. The room was spacious and adorn in traditional Andean colours and Chakanas. See the Chakana website about the rooms, each is meant to typify/honour a particular period in Andean history. I can’t possible say enough in a short review, but the owners and staff made you feel like family and the hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, unique and very handy to Quito old town. The chef/owner of this restaurant is nothing short of a culinary genius. He combines transitional Andean cuisine with more contemporary culinary techniques and the results are nothing short of brilliant. It is impossible for me to select a favourite dish, however we did seem to order the Andean Llamas and the La Pureza del Chivo more times than other dishes. Trying Cuy is mandatory for all first time visitors to Ecuador. This is definitely the place to do that. Be warned though Pablo’s Cuy is so delicious it might ruin you for other restaurants. All in all I would put this restaurant as #1 must try in Quito.

Cute, quaint, well maintained boutique hotel located in the Quito historical district. Our 3 night honeymoon stay at Chakana could not have been nicer. Ivonne and Rodrigo certainly live up to their outstanding reviews. We also met manager Santiago who was so helpful - especially with a quick bite and coffee to-go for a very early tour departure! We chose this place over a larger chain hotel to get a better “local” experience and that was exactly what we had (even participated in a birthday celebration for the owners friend). Breakfast was fantastic and they helped us order in dinner after a long Cloudforest birding tour (with Neotropical Adventures ). Customer service above and beyond! A 5 out of 5 experience I highly recommend this place - we will be back.
