This hotel is a hidden gem. Outside of Munich, the village is charming and there are several ski areas. The hotel staff is beyond accommodating, so eager to please. The chef and staff serve delicious meals with a very family atmosphere. The bar area is a fun place to retreat to before and after dinner. The rooms are roomy. And for someone who never sleeps, I slept like a baby 8 hours straight! We were there during ski season - and they take you to whichever resort you choose. I can't wait to go back during the summer. HIghly recommend the Sporthotel Radstadt!!

Fantastic facility, food and staff. Our trip went perfectly, even traveling with 8 couples. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating, comfortable beds and great shower. The food was fabulous and the wine selections were perfect. Lots of fun to be had each night in the Stube. The new chef even taught us how to make apple strudel!

Perfect location! Stunning views of the city and church at sunrise and sunset!! Hearing the church bells daily. Hotel is very well kept and run by a phenomenal team that is a lot like family! You will be greeted with love and support and well taken care of. Access to skiiing and town is easy walk or shuttle ride. Great. Ski mountain nearby. Phenomenal spa amenities- sauna, infrared, steam room, pool, stone foot soak, enjoy relaxing with some tea and snacks in the spa, enjoy evenings in the bar and the food at the restuarant is exemplary! Well run on all accounts!

We stayed there recently (January) and we had a group of 8 couples from the US. It was truly one of those magical trips for everyone. The staff all treated us like family and we had a blast. We skied multiple areas all with 20 minutes of the hotel, we went to the World Cup Downhills, we went to Spiegl brewery and hung around Radstadt and it was just a great time. The food was awesome, we had a 5-course matched wine dinner and evenings in the bar with old friends and new friends was awesome!! Highly, highly recommend the Sporthotel Radstadt!!!

My wife and I stayed at Sporthotel Radstadt for a week during a trip to Austria for skiing and fun in January 2024. (We are from the US.) The experience could not have been better – it was everything we hoped for. Here is what to expect: Prior to arrival, I had many questions. I submitted them via email. All questions were answered within eight hours. Expect responsiveness. The hotel has about 42 rooms – not gigantic, which is great. Expect no lines at breakfast and to use the saunas, to check in, etc. Expect this in the rooms: - Good size (not teeny, tiny) - Good beds and linens - Very clean - Quiet - Lots of hot water - Good water pressure - The bathroom floor is heated! - Plenty of towels, a bathrobe and slippers - There is soap in the room, but no skin moisturizer/lotion - European electrical outlets (they use Type F and Type C plugs) at 230 V The staff has been there several years. A couple leads the team. All hands are unfailingly responsive, professional, conscientious and extremely pleasant. The “vibe” from the staff is almost like you are an honored guest staying in their big house. They are a close-knit team – almost like an extended family and they are so very welcoming to the guests. The chef, Mario, is very, very good. The meals we ate at the hotel were fantastic / amazing. Everything isn’t schnitzel and sausage. We also took a cooking class that Mario led – we learned how to make Apple Strudl. Very fun. The hotel has its own bar which is a lot of fun. If you ring the giant Alpine cowbell, expect to buy a round of drinks for everyone in the bar. That’s the rule. There are several saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges, etc. The hotel has two vans for transport to the local ski areas – there are several ski areas within ten to fifteen minutes of the hotel, and several other areas 25 – 60 minutes away. (I do not know how far the van will take you.) There is a separate warming building next to the parking lot where you keep your skis, poles and boots. (The boots go on a warmer / dryer – you get nice warm, dry boots each morning!) We were part of a sixteen-person group (eight couples). The hotel handled the group easily. The center of town is a ten-minute walk. We had a fantastic time and would stay there again. I hope we do.

We have stayed in Grundlers, the sporthotel and were nervous about going back. Did not want to spoil the memories of past holidays. No such worries, we were made to feel welcome, the food 1/2 board package was 1st class with a good variety. The staff were all genuine and caring. 100% we enjoyed our stay and will be going back. This was our first real long summer holiday since Covid and I cannot fault the stay or praise the hotel highly enough.

4 days skiing trip with a friend, really enjoyed the hotel. Spotless, nice spa, great food, excellent service, including a van transfer service to all local resorts.

My wife and I stayed at Grundlers Hotel for a week in January. From the start of our stay we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel is on an elevated position over looking the small walled town of Radstadt, which is a short 10 min walk away. The hotel has lovely views all round. Breakfast, an afternoon snack or light meal and dinner were included in our package and did not disappoint, all the food was very enjoyable. There is a lovely restaurant and very atmospheric Stuble bar which we really enjoyed. There is also a lovely pool and excellent spa facilities which are free to guests. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Radstadt and the Grungdlers hotel. Thank you once again to the Grundlers team . Anthony & Helen.

I stayed at the Grundlers Hotel together with friends and all of us thoroughly enjoyed being there. The receptionist gave us such a warm welcome, which already set the mood for the following days. The entire staff was most friendly, efficient and attentive. The food is excellent, the hotel is within walking distance of the picturesque old town of Radstadt and there is plenty of variety and offers in terms of wellness.

We are family of four, oft travelers and we really write a review. But this hotel deserves a review. We had a really wonderful two days at Gundlers hotel. Hotel offers whatever you could imagine. Although room was not new, it was very spacious, bright and ultra clean. Hotel has excellent spa and pool area with astonishing view on fortress and old town. Spa is practically new and not much in use by other guest. Thus our kids enjoyed the pool as the only guest while we were enjoying sauna area. Hotel has good location. 5 minutes walk to old town and 7 minutes drive to first ski slope. We are average skiers and we found Radstadt/Altenmarkt ski area perfect for us. Very well prepared, wide and long pists. We were a bit surprised by the price of tickets which are cca 10-15% higher then in similar ski resorts but qulity of pists is worth it...On top it was sunny weather thus there were perfect ski days. We had half board package and I consider it good value for money. Breakfast is served in restaurant with nice view over old town on ski slopes while dinner is served in special "old style" restaurant. Very nice experience. Our kids are fussy eaters but in this restaurant we had no issue. All meals were delicious, portions were even to big (might be the case that due to the fact in next days the winter season would end and hotel to close the door till summer season). I need to expose personnel as well. Late check in was not a problem, Patrick from reception was very open and friendly. He opened sauna area earlier before working hours...David from "old style restaurant" gave attention to each and every guest and had no issues with our special requests. All in all, really wonderful two days in Radstadt. Thank you Grundlers team.

As of the moment of our arrival until our check-out, we were more than impressed by everything that the hotel had to offer. To begin with, the hotel staff was absolutely attentive, kind and helpful. Moreover, the half board was a unique and unforgettable catering experience. Even the continental breakfast (of the widest selection you can imagine including my favorite Austrian tea brand - Demmers) varied every morning. For dinner, we were given a choice of 3 main dishes and even experienced, for example, an Italian night or a live music. Furthermore, I was given a cake with fireworks on my birthday and upon our check-out a photography in a photo frame as a lovely gesture. In addition, the spa center offered a large indoor swimming pool and up to 10 different saunas. Hot beverages and healthy snacks were offered. We were the only two people attending the spa before closing time, so we had maximum privacy. Thank you very much for a wonderful ski vacation. We highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation and will be back, you can bet on it.

Wir waren waren 3 Nächte, 4 Tage, HP , in einem Chalet-Zimmer : sehr geräumig, vom großen Balkon wunderbarer Blick auf Radstadt und die Berge. Der Service war hervorragend : Patrik hat sofort alle Wünsche erfüllt. Wir werden wiederkommen !
