博福特酒店(The Beaufort Hotel)

We stayed at the Beaufort for a bank holiday night out. Fab location, decent clean room and fab welcome. The evening/night landlord is a lovely guy and really welcoming. Even when we returned late very drunk - he was brill! We didn't wake in time for breakfast so can't comment on that. We had a top floor room which was clean and decent. Very good value for money and we'll definitely return :)

The hotel was very busy and the staff were very stretched, however they were cheerful and helpful. We booked two rooms, a twin room that was on the second floor. The communal areas, passages and stairwell was tired and smelt musty. The room was a good size, and could have been cleaner. The sink showed signs of the previous inhabitants. The ensuite bathroom was so small that when seated on the toilet your knees were jammed against the door. We also ordered a double room. This was on the ground floor, and were directed outside to the carpark to get to it . The back of the hotel has a covered area where smokers congregate, and it was very loud until fairly late. Just by this was our door, with our bedroom window looking out at the carpark at ground level. The room was a fair size and clean, however the bathroom had a very sewery smell that didn't go away. The bed was very uncomfortable with pillows like stone. The room price included breakfast which was plentiful and tasty.

Lovely hotel, good location. Only issue was the noise coming from outside. Made it very hard to fall asleep.

A great room, highly recommend it for a short stay, the only small downside is the radiator in my room was broken so it was too hot, theres a fan in the room though which helped and they were very kind to let me have a 1pm late checkout, staff are very friendly and its bang in the heart of this beautiful town.

The staff were really friendly and helpful however that’s the only real positive I have for this place. The room was cold and noisy (the window was ancient and didn’t shut properly). It was clean but like the rest of the place badly in need of a lick of paint and some TLC. Parking was advertised as being included but the reality is there’s only a few places available and if full you have to pay car park fees over the road. So I spent an extra few quid more than I expected too over and above the agreed price. Breakfast was poor in my opinion. Wouldn’t stay here again

Called in for Breakfast whilst in Chepstow best breakfast I have had in a long time excellent value for money and very friendly staff well worth a visit breakfast was very tasty and hot and the pint of Doom bar was spot on 10/10 for food and service will definitely be back

Good central location. Room a bit tired but bed was comfy. Cooked breakfast was excellent.

While planning a visit to Tintern Abbey, I selected this hotel because of the easy location in the center of town and the good online reviews from other visitors; and am so glad I stayed here. Charming, friendly and welcoming hotel, with lovely artwork of local scenes on the walls in the stairways and dining room. I felt very comfortable in my room, with coffee/tea/hot chocolate and everything I needed. I had breakfast in the dining room, with friendly staff and a cheerful atmosphere.
