Double lock your door when you’re inside the room.
When I checked in, the front desk gave me a key card. I go up to the room, and the key immediately opens the door. But when I go inside, I see clothes, luggage, and unmade beds inside the room. I was shocked at first seeing that the room was already occupied, and I called out “Hello”. Fortunately the room was empty. If someone had been inside they would’ve been shocked. I immediately went back to the front desk where they said they should’ve given us the next room over. But they barely even apologized, although in my opinion that is the worst possible mistake a hotel could make. The room occupant could’ve been naked or **********, or any number of things, inside what they think is their secure hotel room. I’m still flabbergasted that this error happened. That should never even be possible, but for them to shrug it off the way they did is crazy.
And then after that fiasco, I got sent to a room that was in the middle of a carpet cleaning. So I had to change rooms again a 2nd time. I kept the 3rd room all night, though the AC unit/heater didn’t work correctly and there was a stain on one of the bedsheets.
All in all, it’s passable to spend one night there but I won’t be returning.
