Check in took 30 minutes as totally understaffed at 5.30pm At the bar staff didn’t ask who had been waiting so people pushed in Decent hotel superficially but training definitely needs to be improved

It was just an overnight stay. Chose the hotel as it was close and convenient. Staff were friendly enough. Room was nice and clean. Restaurant was ok, the floor in the restaurant was loose and noisey, all because it’s natural wood, didn’t feel great walking across it and I felt sorry for the staff walking on it all the time. Food was nice, not piping hot, I’ve had better else where. Prices were average but I expected more from a hotel service. I don’t stay in hotels often and I’d like to feel it’s an indulgence for a couples night away. The lobby area needs a revamp, sofas had rips in them from wear and tear and was really cold, a huge fire not lit, it would have been better if the staff had put that on. All in all a nice enough evening but for the money I would of liked a little bit more from the experience

Nice hotel, lovely on first impression and spotlessly clean but our room (a standard double) felt dated and lacked basic things you would expect from even a budget hotel - such as plug sockets by your bed and adequate in room lighting (everything felt very dark!). There were only two plug sockets (a single double socket) for the entire room, which was on the opposite side of the room to the bed, yet there were two phones in the room for room service/reception? Beds were comfy and linen was good. Bar was great, well stocked and open 24 hours! Breakfast was good quality, a lot of choice on the menu for hot options but grossly overpriced at £15.95, even if you only want a continental/piece of toast! Need to have different price levels for continental breakfasts and hot breakfasts. We were in a group of 6 with other family staying at the hotel, sat on the same table, and yet our breakfasts only came out two at a time with approx 10 mins between each pair, which didn’t make sense. Service was okay but not very attentive. We stayed on a quiet weekend in January so for the price we paid for two nights it was fine, but it would not be worth paying any more. The lifts were making some odd noises. Overall, a nice clean hotel and handy being right off the motorway but needs a revamp.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service, employees were welcoming and great, food service is great. Really enjoyed my stay, short but still amazing.

This hotel looks great on first impressions, but staff are not professional. Beds have got budget matresses on that are like sleeping on concrete, same with the pillows. Coffee cups in the room had dried coffee stains all down the outside of them. We had a door in our room that interconnected to the room next door, they had their tv on that load that we couldn’t sleep. Restaurant is massively overpriced for terrible service and awful food. Better service and food at McDonald’s. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Only thing to let this property down was the bath room, looked old and used
