This is such a peaceful place where you can walk straight out onto the Moors. It is family run with wonderful service and genuine hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble, but it is quiet and unobtrusive. The public rooms and bedrooms are very comfortable in a traditional way, but all the nicer for it. And the food is delicious. We would definitely come back here.

We enjoyed an extremely delicious lunch on the terrace surrounded by the beautiful gardens, woods and birdsong. This is a very special place of great charm, so refreshing in a world that is overrun with corporate bland hospitality. Thankyou to the very attentive staff. We look forward to coming back.😀

Had a wonderful afternoon tea in the very comfortable lounge. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was delicious. There was a great selection of very fresh sandwiches and really light scones, cakes and desserts. We had a walk in the beautiful gardens afterwards. There is plenty of parking but maybe prepare a map before you go as there was no mobile signal/GPS in the area.

We have just had Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. 5 courses with tea or coffee to follow all for £38 each. It was extremely good value, with an excellent menu, and such large portions which were all absolutely delicious. As previous reviews have said, it is like taking a step back in time regarding the furnishings and decorating but that all adds to the charm of the Grange. The service from the two gentlemen was impeccable and both were charming and really on the ball with service. We will definitely return next time we are visiting the Moors again.

We decided to try here for Afternoon Tea as we had a voucher to use. It was really lovely. It was different to other afternoon teas we have had and we are glad we tried here. The staff were fantastic and were very attentive. Nothing was a bother. Set in a lovely setting, just a shame with the wet weather as would have loved to have sat outside in the garden. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Enjoyed a first class Sunday lunch on our first visit to Lastingham Grange. Enjoyed a pre lunch drink on the terrace on a beautiful sunny day before enjoying a really sumptuous four course. The food was really excellent, the service polished and rich in generous, old world hospitality. The kind of hospitality where nothing is too much trouble. Superb.

Fabulous afternoon tea - staff were attentive, the setting was beautiful in the heart of the dales. We had a perfect selection of sandwiches, something to suit everyone, & the cakes were amazing - as always too many to eat so we were give a cake box to take home the ones we couldn't manage.

Hidden gem for afternoon tea in the magnificent hidden gardens of the hotel. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog had lots of treats as well. Picked up a jar of their own honey which did not last long

This is my 3rd visit to Lastingham Grange as I am now by myself I was very well looked after given a lovely room overlooking the garden The food once again was excellent with plenty of choice also excellent service . I hope to be able to go again next year
