芬布勞赫城堡酒店(Chateau Fombrauge)

Une belle visite guidée avec dégustation avec une jeune fille sympathique et dynamique pour commencer notre séjour. Suite dans son jus et accueil un peu froid. Dommage de ne pas avoir pu profiter du cadre en prenant le petit-déjeuner à l’extérieur.

Château Fombrauge est une destination à recommander, toute proche de la belle ville de Saint-Emilion. Calme parfait, confort total et accueil chaleureux et prévenant sont au rendez-vous. Visite et dégustation conseillées !

Pour les chambres simples, il faut savoir que l'insonorisation est quasi nulle et que les chambres sont vraiment simples. Préférez les suites, elles sont d'un autre niveau. En ce qui concerne le personnel, la visite des caves, tout était parfait

Leuke en rustige wijnboerderij. We misten wel een paar gemakkelijke stoelen in de tuin om lekker te relaxen. Voor het overige een leuke plek om een paar dagen door te brengen. Ook de rondleiding over de wijngaarden is leuk om mee te maken

Chateau Fombrauge was our base for a short visit to the Saint Emilion wine region. It was elegant, private, and quite but still very close to the village and other surrounding villages. There are only a few rooms. Our suite was huge and included a small salon, bedroom, and large bathroom. An armoire provided ample storage. There was one other guest for only one night, so we had the house mostly to ourselves. There are many interesting objects to view and books about the area to read. Breakfast was served in the dining. Not too informal but not stuffy either. Quiet elegance is a good description. There was an assor**ent of pastries, cheeses, and meats. You could also order eggs. Highly recommended.

The chateau and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The wine making tour was informative and fun. We stayed in the Cadran Suite which we would highly recommend, as it includes a private bathroom and is located away from the other rooms of the hotel. The breakfast was served family style in the dining room, and was a nice way to visit with other guests while keeping your schedule flexible. The wine was also delicious! The close proximity to the village of St. Emilion and the reasonable price made this one of our most memorable stays.

There is no reason why this Chateau does not offer world class services that are in sync with the location, reputation and beauty. No proper reception, staff and housekeeping is unexplicable. No nice bedsheets or towels is also mot reasonable. And at least a concierge service could be provided.

After being led to your room by signs posted specially for us, the chateau was empty, we discovered something you only expect in fairy tales. A real living chateau with all the antique furniture, paintings, music instruments, porcelain. The room was huge and the view from the window was amazing. The entire property is spectacular and the breakfast in the sunny dining room was devine. We certainly will return to this gem.
