舊總督府酒店(The Old Government House Hotel & Spa)

Hôtel incroyable. Le personnel est à l'écoute et compétent ; il s'est occupé de tout pour la location de vélos électriques, amenés juste devant l'hôtel pour la journée. On mange très bien au restaurant, le buffet du petit-déjeuner est complet et excellent. Je recommande de prendre le "tea time" (un assortiment de sandwichs salés et de scones) dans le salon de thé. Les chambres sont spacieuses et l'hôtel bien placé (proche du ferry). Le spa est bien équipé et les soins réalisés de grande qualité (je recommande notamment les massages du visage, très personnalisés).

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour grâce à un personnel hors norme et tout spécialement Alessandro que nous remercions tout particulièrement pour son grand professionnalisme et sa gentillesse. Par contre, la chambre n'était pas digne d'un 5 étoiles. Pas de réfrigérateur, placards minuscules, taches sur les sièges, la moquette et la tête de lit, difficulté si ce n'est impossibilité d'ouvrir la fenêtre dont la condensation du double vitrage empêchée de voir la mer bien que la chambre soit avec vue sur mer !

Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel au charme suranné. Le service est parfait. Piscine extérieure super agréable et bien chauffée. Vue sur le port splendide. Au desktop, il y a toujours quelqu’un pour rendre un service, faire une réservation de balade ou de restaurant.

Checked into our room which was very brown,patterned and small. Looked in the bathroom( horrid blue tiling) to find that it had had a leak and the ceiling was very stained. Asked to move. We were shown4 more rooms, first had a fire exit going straight psst the window, 2nd had a humming sound from the kitchen extractor, was told it goes off at 10pm- not for us, 3rd had a very low ceiling so claustraphobic, 4th we took as it was all getting pretty much of the same, brown. The staff are absolutely lovely all trained to look after you. Gorind was charming and helpful and all staff are a credit to the red carnation group. However if you want brown patterned rooms that have seen better days for a high price then come here. If not, there is better on the island. Also whilst I was there, they had a roof leaking, due to heavy rain,onto the marble stairs leading to the toilets from the bar. Very dangerous and staff had to close this area off after I had brought it to their attention. Sadly I won't be returning to this hotel, as I want accommodation that is better than this. They are on the island as I have stayed in them. Guernsey is a beautiful place with fabulous restaurants and this hotel is supposed to be the best on the island. It isnt

This hotel is 5 stars and felt it. The service was impeccable but really friendly. Everyone was great but the chap on reception (Tom, I think) made us feel both at home and like nothing was too much trouble from minute one. He was great. We soon met Noks when we had curry. Again gave you the all the service you could ask for but was personalble. She would ask after each course if the food was enjoyable. Noks, your service with a smile was enjoyable. Malcolm in the bar was also brilliant. He really knows how to make a cocktail. We did the cocktail making course and that was great way to find out the basics so I can experiement. Again he was super friendly. The food was brilliant the curry was great, the afternoon tea was wonderful, the breakfast was lovely. Litterally no complaints, it was all enjoyable. The room has excellent air con, the pool was really relaxing and the kiddies pool.was great for lounging in. Honestly it was about as good a as gets. OGH is not a cheap place to stay. But feels costly rather than expensive. By that I mean it was worth the money. I would absolutely return.

I stayed here for a week on my own It was my first solo holiday since my husband died last year. As a 5 star hotel it was as expected very luxurious but what made it so very special was the wonderful staff. Eating in a dining room on your own can be daunting but the staff were attentive, friendly and caring. They made sure everything was just so. Than you all

Bedrooms clean & comfy. Food really really good & fresh presented really nice. Service outstanding. Swimming pool really nice and good temperature for outside. All in all a really nice stay. Would visit again for sure. In a great location in guernsey.
