舒適套房酒店(Comfort Suites Salem)

Nice hotel, very close to freeways and stores. Bathroom was in need of some help though. Sink drained VERY slow and filled up with use. Do not recommend older people using the this shower. Very easy to slip and fall. Material used for safety on bottom was torn and pulling up all around. Tub shaped strange and water sat in it after draining. Yucky!

I really liked the area the property is in. There’s a sense of safety and cleanliness. The overall aesthetic’s of the building needs some updating such as dated carpets throughout lobby and rooms. Gym equipment needs updating, treadmill buttons don’t work and very small (1 treadmill,1old elliptical and a recumbent bike) weights: dumbbells up to 50lbs and 1 bench press chair. No many restaurants nearby. 1 Denny’s restaurant with a bar which is great to have. Breakfast was okay with your standard eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy and lots of bread, cereals, coffee, etc…. Best part is fresh baked cookies every night.

After a road trip of $100.00 hotels this upgrade was worth it. Room is large and the settee/table nook is a big plus. Sink is in the bathroom where it belongs. Clean. Lobby and the big open staircase to 2nd floor is welcoming. Hallways are wide and well lit. Very good breakfast options.

This hotel is convenient, very clean, functional and has friendly staff. Everything I really needed was great. There is a pool with hot tub. These are not necessary but a nice place to stretch or exercise a bit, at hotels that have one. There was only one problem I experienced at the hotel, which was a cold pool. I did use the hot tub, which was OK and warm. But the pool was uncomfortable to dangerous. I estimated the pool temperature to be about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I got in up to my waist, wanting to swim a few laps. I don’t mind some temperature variations, but that was just too cold for me, an experienced open water swimmer of retirement age. For an indoor pool, that’s oddly cold. I think something must be off about the pool equipment. So, I skipped my planned swim. In every other way, the hotel was very good.

We had a great one night stay.. Staff treeated us well. We got cookies at check in😊 We went to swim ahd use the hit tub around 9:00 pm ( closes at midnight) and we had it all to ourselves. No complaints , except maybe update the sofabed.

I thought I parked in a safe place under lights. Terrible mistake staying here. My truck and at least 2 others were broken into. They apologized but didn’t even offer something to cover broken windshield to keep rain out. I checked out and went to Grand Hotel. They were kind enough to even offer something to cover window until I could get it replaced.

Elevator smells like a hydraulic or oil leak that never got cleaned up. Carpets have a black pathway in the middle of the hall leading to each room. Hall ways just smell dirty. Every surface looks as if it has not been wiped down in months.

Room was never made up though I was there five days. Had telephone issues and both my wife and I encountered aggressively negative behavior at the front desk. Won't be staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. However, I recommend bringing ear plugs as the highway is very close, and very noisy throughout the night.
