Fantastic hotel in the old town but central to everywhere. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfortable. Each room is decorated tastefully and the hotel has a real homely feel about it , the breakfast is continental but more than adequate. The hotel also has a wonderful little bar full of charm and atmosphere. I travelled with my son and daughter to celebrate my daughter and I birthday. The hotel was reasonably priced and met all our expectations. The hotel manager Nikolaj was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and could not do enough for us. We would recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Salzburg! Whilst you are there, The Sound of Music Tour is a must. We also did the Bertchesgarden and Salt Mines Tour which was fascinating. A major to do is a trip up the Untersberg mountain in Salzburg which is easily reached by the No 5 or 25 bus which takes you straight to the cable car. Salzburg is a wonderful place to visit and if we came again we would certainly stay in this little gem of a hotel!

Great location. Little older hotel and likely one of the smallest elevators we’ve been in, but it was clean, staff was friendly, and convenient location. Super convenient to Mirabelplatz (gardens, Christmas market, and the meeting place for the Sound of Music bus tour).

L'hotel è stato da poco ristrutturato, ma da allora evidentemente non è stata fatta manutenzione: es, la porta del bagno non si chiude e non vi è possibilità di appendere l'asciugamano dopo l'uso. Basterebbe aggiungere un paio di appendini al muro ed un'asta davanti al lavandino. La cosa peggiore, però, sono i forti rumori provenienti (fino a notte fonda) dal bar sottostante, gestito sempre dall'amministrazione dell'hotel. Senza contare i forti e costanti rumori notturni provenuienti, forse, dalle tubature dell'acqua. Per due notti mia moglie ed io non abbiamo chiuso occhio. Non si trattano così gli ospiti.

Very helpful assistance from the welcoming front desk staff. Very agreeable accommodation in a 500-year old building. Excellent location that’s within comfortable walking distance to Festung Hohensalzburg, Dom du Salzburg, and other attractions in Alt Stadt. Convenient access to public transportation (Hellbrunn Palace), and train station: Hbf. Salzburg.

Well run, exactly as advertised, location amazing, friendly staff, helpful staff (when we ran into a non-hotel problem), nice little breakfast….. just what we needed. My only advice to future guests is that room is simple. That’s not a bad thing, but it’s not a Hilton or Marriott if that’s what you’re expecting. Everything was super clean, comfortable, and worked perfectly. Ideally you’re not in your room a lot anyway, you are at most a 10 minute walk from the highlights, and usually closer.

Was a great value & loved the 24 hour free coffee & tea. Getting Tobit was more difficult, because we were driving & didn’t know it was in a pedestrian zone. Once we walked there, we were able to get driving instructions, so we could drop off our bags & then park. Then, we finally could enjoy this beautiful city.

A small clean hotel well located on a busy pedestrian street. Main sites, restaurants and bars all an easy walk. Very nice breakfast on site and check the offer of breakfast at the ‘Christmas Museum’!! There is a church close to the Krone and bells ring from 05:15 on quarter and top of the hour if you are light sleeper. But all in all a nice, small hotel.

We reserved the family room, which ended up being an apartment about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The location was ideal as we were on the main street. The apartment is on the second floor. There is bedroom with 2 queen beds (very comfortable) and a living room with kitchen. The kids also enjoyed the piano that is a historical relic (they both are piano players so fun for them to have a piano on the trip). The building is historic and there is no air conditioning but we got by with fans at night. The apartment overlooks the main street so there is a nice breeze (we were there in August). Since the apartment is not near the hotel, we did not go to the breakfast and got groceries from down the street. The kitchen had everything we needed. If you require a traditional hotel with front desk, breakfast, air conditioning, etc. then the apartment may not be for you. All the sites were walking distance (Mozart's home is around the corner!) so location is ideal. The street does not allow cars so parking is a few blocks away but we knew this and planned accordingly. There was ample parking and the hotel staff had sent us all this information in advance. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

Il semble que le ressenti est différent selon qu'on ait une chambre sur rue ou à l'arrière. J'avais une chambre sur rue ce qui veut surtout dire au dessus du bar. Ne pas croire la feuille donnée à l'arrivée qui indique qu'il ferme à minuit. Il y au eu de la musique jusqu'à 2h15. Donc impossible d'ouvrir la fenêtre pour rafraîchir la chambre. Même fenêtre fermée on a droit aux basses de la musique. Donc courte nuit avant la sonnerie à l'aube des cloches de l'église proche. Chambre petite mais avec une grande armoire (inutilisable a cause de l'odeur). Sdb rénovée. Accueil un peu froid. J'aurais dû mieux lire les avis précédents et choisir un autre hôtel (sans bar au rez de chaussée) pour pouvoir dormir plus.
