It looks pretty and it’s in a walkable area downtown but don’t stay here, you will be disappointed. Everything looks nice but the cracks show when you actually try to utilize anything. Order breakfast? Prepare to pay 100 bucks for something they claim is breakfast but really just small portion, badly cooked , in some cases food…some just looked like leftover remnants of food making. Park a car, 60 bucks more. Need to work? No real place to work comfortably. Not worth it. Won’t be staying at any Pendry in future.

Was not able to make our stay. Family got sick and the hotel would not change our dates. They actually preferred us to come stay instead of changing our date knowing we were sick. We chose not to get others sick that had nothing to do with their policy.

This is a nice property, clearly refurbished and the room was excellent. Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy - the hotel next door had a rooftop event that made it impossible to sleep. The check-in was unnecessarily complicated compared to other hotels. The worst thing, though, were the charges the hotel levied. $60 a night for parking the car and when we checked out they had added $42 a night for ‘amenities’. Given we had done nothing but sleep there we have no idea what this could possibly mean - we queried it and were told it was like a ‘resort fee’ which is ridiculous as this is absolutely not a resort. The extra $100 a night was just blatant profiteering and quite frankly changed a pleasant stay in a good hotel into an irritating one. We will never stay at the Pendry again unless they start thinking about service above profit.

Ok i love the Pendry super chic and great bar & drinks great decor and the staff where all pretty amazing Things i would think twice about, the pool is definitely not a kid friendly pool , its a day club the valet guys are not great Otherwise i really like this place

The hotel was in a very noisy neighborhood. When we mentioned this multiple times they refused to change our room or acknowledge our complementary room upgrade. We had to sleep with ear plugs and be subjected to loud music outside. We were also charged a 42 dollar resort fee per day which wasn’t disclosed to us at all during our stay, for services that we didn’t receive such as coffee and a complementary drink. Why coffee would be 42 dollars is beyond me. When we brought this up to them they just said it’s a mandatory fee for the use of the amenities, regardless of whether they’re used or not. We didn’t find out about the resort until after we checked out. They don’t change the sheets or towels unless it’s been a few days and their concierge service was overall lacking. Hugely disappointed. This shouldn’t be a 5 star facility.

Quite possibly the best hotel Uber ever stayed in. Gorgeous, thoughtful, and very clean and safe. Also they use double pane glass so I couldn’t hear the busy gas lamp district outside my room at all! The staff went out of their way to ask me how things were. And for the price it was a no brainer. Stay here!! Amazing hotel.

Superb luxurious property in the heart of San Diego. Close to many shops, restaurants and touristic sites. Beautiful and well appointed hotel, a true 5 stars. Excellent staff and efficient and attentive valet. Excellent all around, great bed and professional housekeeping. Nice pool, attached restaurants very attentive doormen.

Enjoyed our stay. Furnishings were great and bed comfortable. After 3 weeks travelling around USA it was great to have good shower. Have wanted to stay for along time so was good to tick off bucket list. The rate was very inflated when we visited and therefore we had high expectations given very high price. Was very disappointed though with air conditioning. There was a very loud vibrating sound (sounded like a plane in our room). I told reception this twice and it never got fixed. Meant that we were woken multiple times during the night. This was disappointing given how much we paid per night. Would I stay again, yes (if rates were at normal price)
