VIA酒店(Hotel Via)

Amenities are really lacking - the room lacked basic items, including no free water in the room, no slippers, only one dressing gown (despite being booked for two people). Temperature controls were inconsistent. The lighting was either on or off - no way to turn off just a few. Service was predominately pretty poor - staff were grumpy and aloof from our arrival onwards. But Sammie was fantastic - when we encountered an issue with the heating in our original room she was super accommodating and friendly. Redeeming qualities - the room was really clean, housekeeping were great, the view from the roof was great, and the location was walking distance from so many places (MOMA, Union Square, Oracle Stadium, Chase Stadium, Pier 33 for Alcatraz, ferry building etc) as well as good food options.

Great location by the ballpark, easy access to trains and metro.

Horrible management. Last weekend an employee helped me make an online booking with *******, well she booked a wrong date. She said book correct date and ******* will ask us to refund and we will. The management igored the request. It's been 8 days still no reply and they charged me

The room was nice and modern, but I was very disappointed when we were told at check-in that the rooftop bar was closed due to a private event. My husband and I were in town for one night and planned to have our date night at their rooftop bar, and by the time we found out it was closed (at check in time of 4pm), all other reservations in the area were gone. For the price being paid to stay at their hotel, they should at least offer a section of the private rooftop bar to be available for their guests, since there are no other amenities like pool area/fire pits/lounge area.

Property and rooms were very nice. We were on the 9th floor and had a great view with a little bit of Bay and SFGiants stadium. Bonus!. But the check in was a bit chaotic and the staff didn’t seem to understand what we were asking of them (we asked simply to be on the same floor as our other friends we were traveling with and they just really didn’t understand the request. 😏) and having only 1 valet at the 11:00 check out hour was not smart. Lots of people standing around mad.

The room was super stuffy and there was a dead bug under the sheets. We were drinking and I had to sleep on top of the sheets and with the lights on, not sure if it was bead bugs or if it was just a spider. We ordered room service and I asked for there to be no onions in the meal and it was full of onions... 1st and last time we will be staying there.

We arrived around 3. Asked to check in early. They said we couldn’t, which is understandable since check in is at 4:00. When 4:00 came around they said our room wasn’t ready. We had a long flight we were tired but 2 in our party wanted to go the the Giants game. We had two tickets for the 4:00 game. The room still wasn’t ready. They offered us free parking. We didn’t have a car. Our room wasn’t ready until 5:30. They said a manager would talk to us but that never happened. The beds weren’t Queen size. They were full. We measured them. We have queen size at home and that’s not a queen we slept on. We paid for Queen size. The bathroom door is a barn type. It leaves a gap so someone can see in the bathroom. There weren’t enough hooks in the bathroom to put things on. I went over the surfaces with a disinfecting wipe. The wipes were clean except for the shelving in the closet. The only place to put your bags on. There’s a desk to put bags on but that had the coffee maker and other things on it. Overall, a small room, terrible customer service and we’d never stay there again.
